Question about Smith Corona Wordsmith 200 Typewriter
When the correct button is pushed, both the corrector cartridge ribbon and the black cartridge ribbon "pop up" and are tangled outside of the track on top of the print area.
I tried new cartridges, double-checked the correct numbers for cartridges, and the same problem occurs.
Is this a fixable problem? Or should we trash the thing? Thanks, Jackie
Sounds like the corr tape doesn't have the proper tension on it. turn wheel on corr tape cartridge, or if there isn't a wheel, some don't, there is a little lever to the left and under the left side where the cart. fits down. push this until the arm on the right side moves to the left
