Hi Friend, As you have mentioned that you got the message after installation that it will not work properly, i would like you to check that since you are connecting the USB 2.0 into your system, i would recommend you to please check if the USB ports of the system are compatible with 2.0 version of USB drives

It sounds as if your power supply isn't putting out enough to support so many USB devices on your system. If you have an external USB Hub, do you have a power adapter plugged into it?

Cannot install this hardware

First of all, you might want to read this:

http://www.fixya.com/support/t299686-install_microsoft_lifecam_vx_3000

What system are you using?

Try doing a Google search "LifeCam VX3000 installation" and seeing if any of the documents listed helps you. I am not sure what OS you are using (Windows XP or Vista? Linux? Another?) Others have reported problems too. Be careful about which you do first during setup. Some systems require installing drivers/software BEFORE you plug in the camera, and some require you to install software/drivers AFTER you plug in the camera.
