Where does the mouse plug in at

If it has a lead on it... it will be a USB Just make sure they are the same brand where possible, mouse and keyboard & both have a USB connection on the end.
If they are wireless they will come with a small dongle which plugs into a usb port. The Keyb/mouse will work automatically. The dongle is just a small plastic box with a USB connection. They will install their own software or give you a link to get it yourself. A new item should have a software .INF CD that you pop in and does it all for you. Any probs just get back to me. Kind Regards Ray.

How do i get the drivers crystal eye 1.3m video webcam window 7 for aspire 4339 ?

I would go to the Acer website, under support, and type in your model number to get the driver..it might be for windows vista, or windows xp, but if it dont work..it will ask you if you want to use the recommended settings to install the driver, just click yes..and see if that works..worked for me, when I re-installed windows 7 instead of Vista..just select 64 bit version of vista in the drop down box..

Win7 64bit home premium. Acer aspire 5551G - crystal eye webcam. Windoes detects and install camera as 1.3 usb webcam. Does not allow crystal eye software to 'take control' of the camera.

Hi Ian,

The Camera is fact Liteon, and your using sunyin driver to operate it, is that correct?

If so, WHY?

Apropriate and recommended drivers for specific hardware, else things go BELLY_UP!!!!

Try installing the recommended drivers for your Liteon camera.

Cheers,
Peter

Cursor freezing

For a standard trackball mouse, unplug the mouse, turn it over and then twist the retaining ring counter-clockwise to remove it.

Remove the trackball inside the mouse.

Clean the trackball with warm water and dry carefully. Clean the rollers inside the mouse with a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol. Replace the trackball, then secure it with the retaining ring.

Clean the outside of the mouse with rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball.

For an optical or wireless mouse, clean the bottom of the mouse and the surface it sits on with a damp cloth.

Solve Hardware Problems

Make sure the mouse is connected properly.

The connector will either be USB or PS/2. A PS/2 connector is color-coded green and can only be inserted in one direction.

Check for any bent or broken pins or damage, then carefully plug it in, making sure the connection is secure. Reboot the computer.

Connect the mouse to another computer, then reboot the PC.

If the mouse works after testing it on another computer, the problem is most likely with your PC or operating system.

Also, try a different mouse on your computer.

If there is no PC freeze, your mouse is probably malfunctioning.

Switch to a different USB port. Sometimes mouse freeze will occur if the mouse is connected to a USB hub.

Connect the mouse directly to one of the USB ports on your PC.

Try different ports until you find one that works.

Replace the batteries.

If you have a wireless mouse, replace the batteries with fresh ones.

Also, try using a different kind of mouse pad.

Sometimes surface imperfections can interfere with the operation of a wireless or optical mouse.

Install more RAM or memory.

If your PC doesn't have enough memory, PC mouse freeze may occur when you are running resource intensive programs.

Installing more RAM will help your PC run more efficiently.

Solve Software Problems

Check for device conflicts. When you install another device on your computer, it can sometimes conflict with a PC mouse.

Remove any new hardware and drivers you may have installed, then reboot the computer.

Reinstall PC mouse drivers. In Windows, open "Control Panel" then "System."

Select the "Device Manager" tab, then scroll to and select your mouse.

Uninstall any drivers that are listed.

Unplug the mouse and reboot the PC.

Plug the mouse back in, reboot the system, then allow Windows to reinstall the drivers if prompted.

Remove viruses.

PC mouse freeze and other serious problems can be caused by viruses lurking on your system.Set the program to run a complete scan every 24 hours.

Also make sure the virus definitions are updated regularly.

Turn off video acceleration. Sometimes video acceleration can cause PC mouse freeze.

Go to "Control Panel," then click "Display," and then "Change Display Settings."

Click the "Advanced Settings" button, then the "performance" tab. Set the acceleration slider to "None," then reboot.

Repeat the process moving the slider up one notch until you have the maximum amount of acceleration with no mouse freeze

hope this helps

I installed my webcam and have no audio, do i need a sound card?

If you have an external webcam, you'll need to follow the installation instructions provided by the manufacturer of your webcam.
Once you locate the manufacturer's installation information, follow the instructions they provide in their documentation.
Additional notes:
  • Manufacturer software driver installation instructions can vary. We recommend that you refer to the documentation and installation CD that came with your webcam.
  • Most webcam manufacturers maintain the latest webcam software drivers on the download or support areas of their website. Just download it and save it to your computer.
  • Plug in your webcam USB cord only when prompted, this is usually done after rebooting your computer.

Try this, Right Click on MY Computer and choose Properties on Context menu, When the properties windows open choose the HARDWARE tab, then click on Device Manager, You should see the yellow question mark on USB connection. Right click on it, and choose UNINSTALL, answer yes to confirm.
Now Click on My Computer in device manager scheme, then go to right top of device manager, As it mention as SCAN FOR HARDWARE CHANGES click on it. Your windows should detect the new hardware. Then if possible, install it as recommended by windows. If it doesn't work, insert your windows CD and direct the driver to your windows CD.
