I bought a new Epson SX405 wifi printer with an Edimax Printer Server.I have been trying to get this going wirelessly for weeks. It did work once with the Epson helpline. The next day it was not working. Even with the printer server connected to my Router (Siemens SE587) the message is 'printer server not found, check connections'' The connections are ok.
I have spoken to my ISP (Tiscali) for infomation on the router but they keep telling me to talk to the printer people.
I am wondering if the router is 'blocking' the server.
Epson sent me a new Printer Server
Norton told me how to turn off the firewall
I have turned off start-up programs
None of this has worked.
Can you please help?

Apple have produced a downloadable app for managing this router.
It also acts like a signal strength meter, and can control various modes on the extender.
Check there is not a scheduler or "Good Night" setting on the extender. EdiRange
Poor signal strength:
0 - 39%
So your problem is still poor signal strength, your extender is still not within the wireless range or your router.
Open Web Browser type in 192.168.2.1 in the address bar then hit enter. you should be prompt for
user/password, and the default one are user: admin password: 1234 this will let you change settings. you will find the WIFI settings in the "General Setup" section. i am attaching link to the user manual, if you like to dig in to the settings deeper: http://www.edimax.com/images/Image/manual/Wireless/BR-6225n/BR-6225N_Manual.zip
If thats the case I will assume these things: - You are seeing the wireless router when you are trying to connect but it still wont let you connect. OR - You are NOT seeing the wireless router and want to connect to it.
What you will have to do it go back into the router (hard wired into it) and start over. Make sure you access the wireless setting and ensure the settings are compatible with your wireless laptop. If your laptop is very new then the setting at the bottom will work if your laptop is older then the options like WEP/WAP Personal setting will do. Make sure you write down the settings you used for refrence later.
When you rename the device, wirite it down too!
Ensure you "Apply" all the settings and "Logout."
When you are done, go to "Start," "Control Panel," "Network and Sharing Center," "Set-up a connection or network," "Manually connect to a wireless network," and enter all the information you wrote down!
