Question about Kenmore Dishwashers
The rubber seal on the interior of my Kenmore Elite dishwasher keeps pulling away from the tub when I open the door. I can re-seat it but I must do this evertime I open the door. Is there a glue I can use to keep the seal in its guide? I'm going to forget one of these times and it will leak.
I use ge silicone clear sealant it is flexible adhesie that can handle water and heat
You can get this at Ace or big box stores you do not need a big tube
1 Open dishwasher door
2 gently pull rubber seal away from dishwasher guide You do not have to remove the entire seal unless it is loose just keep pulling until you feel the seal staying on dishwasher
3 put a small amount of clear sealant on loose seal(side facing housing) and small amount on dishwasher guide ( dip your finger into water so that it does not stick to your finger)
4 press the seal into place on dishwasher housing
5 wipe excess with a damp cloth be sure you do not get any on seal side that faces dishwasher door
6 Allow to dry over night
