Inside your TV there is like a loop of insulated wirings the loop around the screen. This is to demagnetized the tube. There is a varistor which looks like a thick coin with two leads on it, or sometimes it looks like a flat ceramic capacitor that control this loop of wire. When you first turn on your TV current goes through the loop of wires to demagnetize the TV then the varistor shuts off. Sometimes this varistor fails, causing smeard colors. You can also demagnetize the screen without opening the TV. Using a hand held demagnetizer. It can be purchased at some electronic parts store.
hello.... do you have any speakers near your television? what color is the circle your talking about? Do the green, pink colors are scattered all over the screen and specially on the corners? If you have or had speakers near your tv? then do this try to get a magnet.a magnet on a speaker would do.what you have to do is to place the magnet near the screen of the tv approx. above the green, pink color (turn it on first).you will notice the that the color will react with the magnet try to pull it on the side you will notice that the green, pink color is moving on the same direction do it until its gone.NOTE make sure youll not scratch the screen ok.email me what happened. email@example.com GOODLUCK
Move any speakers or electrical devices away from the set. It could also be anything electronic or magnetic. Anything near the set that generates a magnetic or electromagnetic field could be causing the distortion.
Try turning down (off) the color during such an episode. If the image is tinted pink or green instead of black and white when you do this, you have either an intermittent short in your CRT (tube), which is terminal,or a gun drive problem, which may be repairable. If you're feeding it component instead of composite signal,it may just be a bad connection of the B-Y cable.
Getting the squematic will be the first step to take to become more familiar with the electronics inside, you can ordered by going to http://www.servicemanuals.net/ click on service manuals and give them the model number, they will then give a price and availabilty. The color processing uses a driver for each color and an output for each color too,the output are ussually placed in the crt board in theneck of the tube.the drivers and outputs are transistors most of the time but sometime the drivers are part of an integrated circuit. Please let US know if you need more help but place it as a new question.
