Dear vjmusa ,

step 1 : open ur cell phone .

step 2 : check clearly the pcb board either any damage or not

step 3 : check the components of the pcb.

step 4 : most probly the small tiny capacitor might have broken .

step 5 : check with multimeter so that u can recognize the connectivity of the circuit board

check with the buzzer .. might have loose contact with the surface of pcb
or just do small scratches on the pcb , where the buzzer touches ..
so that it will get the connectivity and works fine ..

Motorola BPR 40 will transmit, but not receive through the microphone. Works fine as a handheld

You may have one of three problems: Your audio accessory jack is bad, you are using the wrong mic for the radio, or your mic is bad. Try the mic on a known good BPR40 and if it test good, if so, your BPR40 with the problem needs a new audio accessory jack. (Repair is available for this model.) We have found the BPR40 will only work properly with the remote speaker mic designed for it, despite some other Motorola mics appearing to fit the jack. Construction grade mic PMMN4013 is a good option, as is the lightweight PMMN4077.

I want to use my Motorola Talkabout and iPod through the same earbud, is there an adapter of some kind?

Hi Dimitri,

Q. Does your Motorola have an ext speaker outlet, if so, then going the a radioshack or similar store would be an avenue, make sure you take your Motorola with you so they can give you the right adapter.

If this is successful, I believe we've solved the problem.

I hope that this solves the problem for you.

Kind regards,
Peter

Old pre 911 ST7868W phone died purchase used exact replacement model and want to know how to activate relp?

if you have a spare unit, don't bother to take apart the old broken one. Contact your service provider's Tech Support and tell them you wish to replace your broken Startac with another unit and give them the replacement units ESN. They can add the new one to your account,it will replace the broken unit. All ESN's are unique. You can REPLACE one with another, you can't take parts out to (legally) substitute one ESN for another.

Transmit button on the lapel mic will not key the radio

Two things which come to mind, one would be if the PTT on the remote mic is bad/defective, second would be you are plugging the audio device in with the radio turned on.

If your remote mic is failing, the PTT is a repairable item, as is the cord on most models.

Motorola maratrac mobile radio A7 control head problems

Hello scooter 34 1,

Are you able to get a new mic for your radio? Because I really think the problem is in the mic. Here is a test buy a cheap replacement mic that can be used with your unit and swap it out with your current mic. 9 time out of 10 this will solve the problem. If not the problem may be with the sensor switch inside of the unit itself, the sensor switch detects when the mic is activated, it avoids the galvanic response of the metallic switch in the mic. The switch could have malfunctioned. However I repeat, that I believe the mic has malfunctioned.

I hope this helps,

If you are using vox (voice activated transmit) go into the menu and make sure you don't have the VOX setting too high. You should be able to put the headset on... hit the "push to talk" button on the radio and transmit you audio. Turn the other radio on and make sure the radio is "keying" (tx with no auio) then make sure there is audio. If you don't have audio but the radio is transmitting.. you might have the wrong type of plug on your headset for the audio..... there are 2 plugs... 1 for transmit audio....1 for recieve audio. It could be the wrong type of plug for the jack in the radio. Regardless.. the way the headset works is either you push the "push to talk button" onj the radio OR you use the VOX function... with the vox function you just have to talk into the mic to transmit. This is what your headset is designed for. You will have to go into the menu and set up the radio for VOX. If you still have problems follow my directions at the top of this page ( check mic jack and stuff) I think you just have to set the radio up for VOX operation and set the VOX setting. You should be able to push the push to talk button and talk through the mic on the headset. If you don't get any audio that way there is a problem and you should check the jack and plug on the headset.
