Re: connection to a computer

This TV has an HDMI interface, not DVI. If your source is DVI, you can get an DVI to HDMI adapter. The HDMI carries both video and audio data, so you will need to connect your audio separately.

Is the 42" philip plasma

If you really want, you can use an old CRT TV as a monitor provided you get it connected.... so your plasma... YES. If your PC has a DVI port, you could use a DVI - HDMI cable to connect. If your PC does NOT have a DVI port, you could install a video card that does... better yet, get a video card that has a HDMI port. This way, you'll only need a HDMI cable to connect the PC to the TV for audio and video.

Hi Jatinder Kumar ,
Yes you can connect your computer output to lcd tv through dvi-hdmi cable or vga-hdmi cable.
1. Connect to HDMI (DVI) : just plug in HDMI (DVI) out of PC or laptop to HDMI or DVI TV. Than select source from HDMI.
2. Connect to PC : Plug D sub to TV, select PC in.

I hope that will help you.

Where do I get a cable to connect my laptop pc to the DVI input jack on the Soyo 32" LCD TV?

You will need either a DVI-I to DVI-I cable or a DVI-I to HDMI cable. Your computer should have a DVI-I output or HDMI. You can not directly connect a VGA output to the TV. If needed, you can purchase a VGA to component (Y/Pb/Pr) converter.

Im trying to use my TV as my monitor for my pc?

What problem are you having? The connection should be fairly straight forward depending on your computer's video out. You can use a VGA cable, DVI to HDMI (check your graphics card manual for single link or dual link on the DVI side), or component video (even S-video). If you have HDMI out on the video card, use an HDMI cable. If you want to connect to the TV's speakers, you need at least an 3.5 mm audio cable (or 3.5 mm to RCA audio).

The DVI cable can be either a DVI to HDMI cable or DVI to DVI or HDMI to HDMI with a DVI to HDMI adapter at one or the other end.

I hope this helps.

(you will need to go through the input modes to find the signal. Some TVs need to be on (with no signal) before the computer is turned on.)

How can I connect Panasonic TH-37PX60U Flat panel plasma tv to my computer?

It will depend on your video output options on the computer. If you have HDMI output, just use an HDMI cable and an audio cable (this will need to be a 3.5 mm to RCA audio cable). If you have a DVI output, use a DVI to HDMI cable and the audio cable (or a DVI to HDMI adapter and either a DVI or HDMI cable depending on which side you want to put the adapter). If you only have VGA out from the computer, use a VGA to DVI adapter and the DVI to HDMI connection and the audio connection. (Theoretically this should work but each adapter will have some signal loss issues.)

Some graphics cards have a video output, S-video or Component video, which would also connect to your TV with the audio cable. (Read your cards manual for more information)

I hope this helps.

(For DVI to HDMI cables, you will need to check if you have a single link or dual link DVI output. The wrong cable may not work.)

I want to connect this pc to LCD TV want know where is the audio output of the computer

LCD TVs are the best at showing computer graphics, so many come with PC video connection ports by default. If it does have one of these ports, all you need to do is get a cable to connect to it. This is usually a male-male cable. Be warned, however - stores like Best Buy and the like tend to horribly overcharge for cables. Check prices online at places like - I found some from $6-$10 with $5 shipping. They'll probably be $25 minimum in a store. Also, if it's a DVI connection, don't get a DVI-A cable - that's for analog connections. DVI-D is for digital connections (specifically for connecting to LCD screens) and DVI-I cables are for both, but be sure to get a DVI-D cable.

Check out this link and look at the picture of the DVI-D and DVI-A connectors:

My video card has a DVI-I output, but my monitor only has a DVI-D input, so I can't use a DVI-I cable on it (DVI-A and DVI-I both have 4 extra pins that DVI-D doesn't).

If it's got a VGA port then whoop-de-do. There's only one type of VGA cable anyway. ^_^ Source(s):

The TV will recognize any operating system. You can use a VGA cable to connect to the television if the TV has a vga port. Then select the PC input for the TV. If the connection is white and larger if may be a DVI connector. You will need a DVI cable in that case or a DVI to vga adapter.

Lets see the cableing..

So you have a mac with a mini-dvi slot, you have a mini-dvi to dvi adapter, and then Dvi to vga adapter which connects to the tv?

The mini-dvi to dvi adapter doesn't have the analog VGA signal your tv needs. If I understood right.

Apple's mini-DVI to DVI-D cable does not carry the analog signal coming from the mini-DVI port on the Apple computer. This means that instead of buying a single mini-DVI cable from Apple and using a cheap DVI-to-VGA adaptor when you need VGA output, you must purchase another mini-DVI cable from Apple.

Problems connecting computer to tv via dvi

Not sure if you have fixed your problem or not. When I hook up my pc to the ILO 32 HD...I ran DVI input for can also use HDMI if you like..I had a problem with sound and had to use a splitter and run sound into AV2 IN to get sound for some reason...your no picture...if you are getting a black screen, you need to set the resolution on your pc. VGA to 640x480 and SVGA should be 800x600 and XGA should set at 1024x768..most likely the last one is the one you need..and this is not a normal pc res....set your refresh rate to 60HZ. All this is done in the control panel/display/settings tab. Also remember that you need to change your source on the TV to the proper connection to see component, HDMI etc.
