Question about Apple iPhone Smartphone

1 Answer

Iphone voicemail I have the iphone 3g and my voicemail does not work. Instead of letting people leave a message it transfers them and then cuts them off. I did not have this problem on the original iphone.  I have tried restoring the phone but this does not work Any suggestions?

How do I retrieve messages

If you have created a backup of iTunes for your iPhone, you can recover them from iPhone with ease.
retrieve-messages-oxaxc0rwhkhzilrwacqreyis-1-0.jpg
  1. Plug iPhone into computer via the USB cable. iTunes will launch automatically, if not, you should open it manually.
  2. Click "File > Device > Restore from Backup", and choose the iPhone backup in the pop-up window.
  3. iTunes will start to restore the data in the backup to your iPhone. Sometimes it will ask you to enter your Apple ID to accomplish the restoring process.

Voicemail does not work

Had the same problemwith my iPhone 3G this is how I fixed it -

1) From the iPhone 3G, I called my own iPhone 3G number.
2) Went through the setup. After finishing the ssetup Hang off the iPhone 3G.
3) Then the voicemail button on the iPhone 3G worked - first time, there was a **** pause, it asked me to enter my voicemail password that I had set in step 2, and that's it.

Good luck.
