My Xbox 360 has been working fine - last night i turned it off and plugged in a video player then when i plugged my Xbox back in and switched it on to play it said - game mode in the top left hand corner and in the middle of the screen in said mode not supported i have looked on tv settings and it is all set up fine i even took my Xbox downstairs to try it and it did not work on there either -

Make sure the switch on the 360 A/V cable is in the right position. Also unplug everything from the unit and plug it all back in again.
From the reading I've done on tech issues the 360 has a lot of temporary issues like that.
