Hello,

To remove these, press and hold the icon until your phone twitches (or vibrates briefly) and then drag them towards the menu popup (at the bottom of the screen). You will see the pop-up menu button becomes a trashcan. When the icon gets close to the trash it turns red. Just plop it onto the trashcan and it's gone.

Data connection refused

Hi,

After cancelling the data plan with the wireless service provider, the message Data connection refused appears at the top of the Home screen on the BlackBerry smartphone instead of the branding of the wireless service provider.

This is caused may be you were previously subscribed to a data plan through a wireless service provider, and the BlackBerry smartphone is still configured to attempt to access the data network.

To resolve this issue, you need to turn off the Data Services feature on the BlackBerry smartphone. To perform this, you need to complete the following steps:
  1. From the Home screen, open the Options menu.
  2. Click on Mobile Network or Network.
  3. Set the value of the Data Services field to Off.
  4. Open the menu and select Save.
  5. Return to the Home screen.
  6. Turn the wireless transceiver off and then on again.
To enable (turn on) the wireless transceiver on the BlackBerry device, go to the Home screen and select the Turn Wireless On icon or open Manage Connections and select the wireless connection to be enabled. Once enabled, the icon will display Turn Wireless Off .

To disable (turn off) the wireless transceiver, go to the Home screen and select the Turn Wireless Off icon or open Manage Connections and select the wireless connect to be disabled. Once disabled, the icon will display Turn Wireless On.

I Hope it helped you.

Thank you for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

My Video Camera icon on Blackberry Curve Disappeared

The camera is an application, if you have Blackberry Desktop manager installed on your home compter you can re-load it through the application loader, which in turn will put the icon back on. You also might need to upgrade the software. The most recent version is 4.5. You can find your version by going to settings>options>about in the phone. If you need to update it, see www.blackberry.com/support and search KB03901.

Very simple solution to this one. all you have to do is touch the icon on the screen and HOLD your finger there. Your phone will slightly vibrate, and the menu button will change to a little trash can. Keep your finger down and slide the icon to the trash can and Voila, it's gone
