Question about AEG Lavamat 88840 Front Load Washer
3 yrs old 88840 Suddenly C3 dispalys. Mashine start to drain properly. but the pump dont shut opp even with the switch on 0. Drainage pipes clean. Electrolux service center Uppsala Sweden. Very helpfull, Told me C3 means leakage of water town to the base basket where a security floating frigolite switch is situated. With a towel I cleaned the accumulated water away and could then strat the washing. It is no in working order no signs of leakage which would lift the security witch in the bottom.
This means your water sensor has detected a leak. it will stop when the sensor is dry.
Try getting the water out of the trap door and letting the machine dry.
I would also unplug it for secirity reasons.
Basically your water pump is getting tired or the sensor is dirty. Try cleaning the sensor or else you may have to change the pump.

Mine did this i looked up on google search and the answer worked tilt the washer and allow to dry unerneath i used a small heater or the hairdryer! its because a sensor under the washer has detected water and it knocks everything off displayin code c3 and a high pitch noise turn off at the mains and tilt it back slightly . good luck klair xx
