    COAX: Wall -> Converter -> VHS player -> TV

    CVBS: DVD player -> VHS

    Can't connect any other way: TV has only COAX, no CVBS; DVD has CVBX, no COAX. Converter has COAX in/out and CVBS. When I connect DVD CVBS out to Converter CVBS in, no audior or video at all. Philips DVD, Symphonic VHS, Sanyo TV, Motorola converter, Comcast cable (there's a splitter in the COAX sending ISP signal to wireless router).

I'll need more information, but it sounds like an encoded (for copy protection) dvd being played through another device before going to the TV. That intermittent blue screen is usually that. How are you hooking up to your TV?

Cannot record whilst watching another channel

It requires two tuners to do what you want. Unless the DVD recorder has a built-in tuner, this is not possible.
Satellite company DVRs can do this because they can have multiple tuners inside them.

hi try first to insert a clean up CD, and test your DVD player with an original DVD, if the problem persist , your laser sense is defficient you have to go to fix it to a specialist.

No video on our tv

I found in the manual on page 13 bottom, that if you PRESS STOP buttom for 5 seconds of your remote controller then you can see the picture on the interlaced mode again on your TV.

Otherwise you have to connect you DVD to a unit that has progresiv scan, such as an HDTV, some computers if they have an input or to a projector .

I connected my DVD to a projector thru the VIDEO output and put eveything back to normal, and it is working fine now.

System Reset

Open CD disk tray. Press stop key and hold for 15 seconds, screen will appear.

DVD recorder only records the channel being watched. How do you record and watch a seperate channel with satelite tv

You need to connect the TV to the aerial output socket on the DVD player. If this is not clear get back to me. Then you can record one channel whilst watching another.

Cheers

No response from DVD - Blue on light flashes but nothing else

I think we're on about the same model here. I found that holding down the "Source" button whilst switching on the power at the mains would temperorly solve this issue. However, it would be nice to switch it on normally.
