I/O Error process aborted when opening finepix viewer to download

I've had my camera for several months with no problems. out of the blue i get a I/O Error. Process aborted when i open finepix viewer to download the new pics. Is there any other way to download my pics from my memory card, a different program i can use? i have that same problem. I have a Fujifilm Z20 fd camera. I just got the camera not too long ago and finepix has been working fine, but i started having that problem. when i plug the camera into the computer it pops up and says I/O error occured process aborted. Someone please help. I have a brand new fuji j100.
As soon as I connect the camera to finepix viewer I get the I/O error.
I have tried taking the photos off via picasa 3 instead but that freezes after downloading a couple of photos.
Strangely if I put the memory card in my daughters very cheap camera picasa 3 will work ok.
Have done all the obvious things like reformatting the card etc but now at a loss.Thanks.

i have the very latest version of finepix software 5.4 and thier very latest camera, the f200 exr and can't download any photos because of the I/o error

I just installed FinePixViewer from the CD I got with my new S1000fd - got the "I/O error: process aborted" error straight away. Updated the FinePixViewer from Fujifilm's website to the latest version - still get the "I/O error: process aborted" error. Opened FinePixViewer from the desktop icon; the camera is listed in the folder tree, but I can't get to any photos on the card. When I navigate to the camera in Windows Explorer I can get to the photos OK. It seems that the FinePixViewer doesn't like FinePix cameras! Weird.

When i connect the camra with the computer it says ''Error occurred. Process aborted''

You dont need the disc to download to computer.Take the card from the camera and put it into the card reader on your computer if one is fitted, if not you need one that goes into a USB slot When the card is inserted into the reader a box will open on the screen with several options as to view images or download them.

I would also download Picasa 3 which puts your photos in date order and also has photo editing. This is a free download and is part of google.

I/o error occurred. Process aborted pops up

The Windows error "I/O Device Error" means there is an error in the computer's ability to read data when you try to install a program or to copy data from your device such as a CD Rom, external hard drive or digital camera. To resolve this issue, try connecting the camera to a different USB port. Also try to uninstall and reinstall the driver. If both suggestions fail, we would recommend trying it on a different computer to see if the camera is defective. If it works on another computer with no problems, the issue may be with the computer. We would recommend a Windows update or contacting your computer manufacture for further assistance. A simple solution that many other users try is a card reader.

I get the message I/O error occurred, process aborted.

First of all, you do not need Finepix viewer.
Make sure the USB cable is properly connected to camera and PC.
Ensure that you have installed the driver for the s5000 if you do not have Windows XP.
Then select "view"
and the pictures taken should be copied to any photo prgram you select.
or try a different cable if this does not work.
