I went to try and start my 2007 Toyota camry hybrid Le and the car did not detect the key and no lights came on. Even when I put my foot on the brake the range light did not come on in the power button. We got it jumped and it still would not start. We think it is a problem with the key. Any suggestions?

First, see if the battery is ok, turn on the headlights or press the brake pedal and look for brake lights. Try another key if available. (Spare/spouse set) if that does not work, then it probably is not the key. If it is not doing anything, (no lights, etc) try charging it overnight and try again in the morning. If the lights come on, then it may be a ignition fuse blown. Check all fuses. If none of this helps, you may have to call the dealer.
