Question about Computers & Internet

What graphics card should I buy for this computer?

I have an HP Pavilion tx2001au Entertainment PC. I have a standalone (so it can be changed) graphics card, the ultimate... the nVidia GeForce 6150 Go!
Oops... well, it has an Experience Index of 3.0 and I hate it. So, I am planning to get a new one. Which one should I get such that it is compatible with all these following parts:
AMD Turion TL-58 (1.9 GHz, dual core) 1.98 GB RAM nVidia nForce Motherboard Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit.
Please don't recommend an ATi. I won't rate that answer. I will rate the rest.

It would be better if it was more than that. Even 3.5 is less. At least 4.0 will be good. Thanks for trying. I am accepting answers, don't stop. And Bappa170873's answer has been rated 4/5 - Helpful.

Okay, thank you, but it is low. I would like a minimum of four, maybe. I am accepting answers, so keep writing. Bappa170673's answer has been rated 4/5 - Helpful.

HP pavilion entertainment laptop monitor will not come on. Laptop making sounds like it is downloading something but no disc in tray, not connected to internet.

Your computer is becoming way too hot and the soder between your graphic card and monitor is melting. You need to get your computer opened and reheat your graphic card ( I usually use a heat gun.) Make sure you do not heat it too much as you could screw up your graphic card. Once it is done, just hook the battery, ram, powering unit and hook-up your screen to see if your screen works. If it works then you need to place 2 copper shims between the heat sink contact points with your processor and graphic card to keep everything at a normal temperature. Then reassemble your computer.

Nope...Graphic card problem. Your computer needs to be opened, the graphic card reheated and copper shims need to be placed between the heatsink contact points with the graphic card and processor to prevent it from overheating again.

The problem started when I was watching a tv show and my laptop shuts down, then I tried to turn on again, and I couldn't. When I press the power button to turn on the laptop, the keyboard lights come on...

Dear Friend,

HP Pavillions are not good... Buy a new Laptop that dosnt use Nvidia graphics card.

The problem resides in the graphics card Heating up to madness.
If you know how to open your Laptop, Dissassemble it and remove the processor. Heat up the Graphics card with a hair blower for 5 to 10 minutes. put the hair dryer about 1 cm distant to the graphics card.
After that - let it cool and make sure you put back everything correctly, screw it up and Voila...
Your laptop is new again..

I want to connect my HP pavilion notebook dv1000 by firewire

You should be able to get a firewire card to fit you computer. A standard pc card should fit a HP. There are two separate kinds of PC cards. There are the standard and the express versions. Make sure you get the standard version, because express is mostly for Dell. You may want to go to HP and confirm this by looking at the support section for your computer. As far as what type of firewire card, get what you think you will need. There isn't much difference between different brands.

Boot up beep and blanck screen

The beep patterns always tell you what the problem is, but it depends on what kind of BIOS is in your computer. You can take a look here, maybe you find what is the problem with your machine: http://www.pchell.com/hardware/beepcodes.shtml

Monitor won't work with new computer

The computer in question has two graphics cards in it. A GEForce 8400GS Graphics card and an onboard graphics card. It could be possible you are plugging the monitor cable into the wrong graphics card slot. The onboard graphics card slot may be a different color than the GEForce graphics card slot. Check the back of the computer to see if there is another spot to plug in the monitor.
