Question about Fisher and Paykel Refrigerators
Fridge is freeing at the back but keeping the food cold
Before you panic... Clean the condenser coils on the outside of the box. Defrost completely to remove internal icing which causes problems. Restrict how humidity gets into the box...door open, uncapped containers. You may actually not need a repair. Good luck.
To check low gas: Leave unit off for one hour. Locate the compressor...that's when you're cleaning those coils. Find the largest tube. Turn the unit on and wait. If, after 15 minutes, the tube is still full of frost...not ice...you will need someone to add gas to the unit. If dry, icy or wet, enjoy your working fridge.
