    Barkencoa / kjmac,

Tried easier suggested solution from Barkencoa and despite no blockage rinse cycle still not kicking in.

kjmac, the water feed comes into a grey oval shape with 2 philips screws above it. Is this where I'll find the cold inlet value.

I would also say to you both that the 3 lights on the front panel called "Rinse hold", "Energy save" and "Super Rinse" are not lighting up either. Could this be the source of the problem.

Also the comments from you both are much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Wendy

Make sure that the conditioner compartment is not clogged up with undesolved conditioner, remove and thoroughly claen all parts
To test the conditioner is going through, fill it with water to the top of the compartment until the water starts to run out, it should then continue to run out until the compartment is empty, if it does not , then it is still blocked.. Do this before you put it back in the washer.
This should solve the prob.
Plz rate my solution, and feel free to leave any comments.
Thanks.

Hiya
The chances are you will need to replace the cold inlet valve(part that the cold pipe screws onto), as this controls the water flow for the main wash and also the rinse cycle (in washer/dryers it's used in the condensor as well). Its not a big job to do as it's right in the top of the machine and can be easily replaced by someone with minimal amounts of diy skills.

Hope this helps

If you can see a constant water pressure from the hot and cold, chances are the water solenoid valves are ok.

I would look towards resetting to factory and checking the main control unit.

No rinse or spin cycle but washes

Could be something as simple as the solenoid fill valves for the water if you using a different temp for rinse from the wash cycle (warm wash cold rinse) in that case the cold side of the valve could have failed, in which case you'd be getting hot water for the wash and no water for the rinse and, without the fill, the cycle won't proceed from that point.

Not getting enough water during rinse cycle

In the rinse cycle it will use cold only to rinse with.
You need to see how fast the water is going into the machine on rinse
Things that can effect slow fill, low water pressure, Faulty cold valve

Hello,

I would suspect the water inlet valve as being the problem,if it drains the water and spins the lid switch is going to be good. The thing exclusive to rinse cycles is that they only fill with cold water, and that is what i suspect the problem being is that it's not filling with cold water on the rinse cycle because of a bad water inlet valve.

Kenmore front-load washer stops at rinse cycle

When the washer initially fills for the wash, is it only hot water entering the drum? Try switching the water temperature between hot and cold as it fills. If any of them show little or no water getting through, it sounds too easy but check to make sure water supply taps are on, and that the cold/hot fill hoses aren't reversed. Remove the fill hoses and check any of the screen filters for blockage (in the hoses and in the inlet water valve). When the machine stops and waits to fill but all you hear is a hum, it sounds like there is power going to the valve but water is not able to get through it.
Good luck!

Does Not Rinse

Check each temperature during initial wash fill. Set to hot water, is hot water coming out? Set to cold water, is cold water coming out? The rinse cycle is cold only. If cold water is not working machine will just stop at rinse.

If cold water not working:
Disconnect cold water hose from machine. Inspect the filter screen on the cold water connection. DO NOT REMOVE SCREEN. If full of debris, use a spray bottle with a hard spray to remove debris. If unable to remove or cold is still not working, replace valve.

Lg washing machine wft855a top loader

Following up my comment from yesterday, I took the machine apart and discovered that the black rubber cover on the valve that releases the cold water had perished and cracked, and wasn't opening properly.
I tested the hot and cold solenoids and everything checked out ok. Was just the cold valve sticking.
The wash cycle was working because I was using hot/warm water. As the rinse cycle needs cold water to get started, it was not working and the rinse and spin cycles wouldn't complete.
I have swapped the valves over for now (put the working hot one on the cold side and am using cold water only). It's working while I order a replacement...
