If i remember rightly, the filter slots into the door opening at the bottgom of the porthole

The heating element have got old and brittle over time and finally gave up the ghost. But it is not always the element. It could be one of the safety Hi-limits have blown. All parts of the dryer will have continuity if its working properly. Test for continuity by using a meter set on Ohms,or use a poor man's meter. You can make your own poor man's meter by using an ordinary flashlight . Break the circuit in the flashlight and add a couple of wires to it so that you can make the light come on in the flashlight, that's right hot wire that flashlight. When the bulb lights up you have a circuit! You now have a poor man's meter. The next step is to check each little gizmo on the dryer that the wires attach to. All the limits attached to the side of the heat element, the door switch (when door is closed) etc.should have continuity (closed circuit)(the light should come on in the poor man's meter) If you come across an thing near the blower housing with 2 wires attached to it, that is a thermal limit, a safety or a control thermostat (So as not to get a false circuit you need to remove one of the wires to each thing you check) Look for lint buildup or blocked vent going out the house. If everything is good and you have paid the electric bill, then the timer could be bad.

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that you are trying to locate and replace the internal filter for your Frigidaire dehumidifier, model# LAD304NUL. I also see that you cannot find your manual. To locate and replace the filter, follow these easy steps.

a. Remove the filter every two weeks based on normal operating conditions.
b. To remove the filter, remove Bucket then pull filter downwards.
c. Wash the filter with clean water then dry.
d. Re-install the filter, and then replace Bucket.

I have also included the link for your manual, where I found these instructions. Hope this is helpful.

Have lost Manual to DC05 and I am unsure how many filters there are that need to be cleaned as I feel it has lost some suction.
Hi there VacuumGuru here. There are 2 filters for your machine, one is below the dirt chamber and the other is underneath the handle. If you have lost your suction it is most likely the washable filter that is to blame. There is a manual available for free download here as well to help you out.
Basically when ou remove the spongey blue insert from your washable filter you should be able to hold up the other bit (white with a coloured plastic collar) to the sun and see light through it. If you can see no light then it will need to be thrown out and replaced.

I have this ac unit, clean filter light on ??
The filter light comes on buy hours of run time, it's just a reminder to check /clean the filter. There should be a filter reset button on the thermostat to rest the hours counter and the light will go off. If the t-stat doesn't have a button for that, it's somthing like push UP & DOWN at the same time. need t-stat model and serial number to get info, If the installers left the manual for it, look in the index under filter or maintenence. if you're not able to locate the manual, let me know and we can go from there.

Unscrew the pump filter cover anti-clockwise to remove and clean.

How to clean your filter:
The PermaWick™ Filter should be cleaned in a vinegar and water solution to remove any mineral buildup. Place in a solution of one (1) gallon of water and eight (8) ounces of undiluted white vinegar. Allow the filter to soak for 20 minutes.
After soaking, rinse it several times with clean water. Place the PermaWick™ Filter in a location where it can drip dry while you clean the other parts of your humidifier.

They say the frequency that you will have to clean your filter depends on yoru quality of water. The harder the water you have the more you will have to clean it.

check for wires near lint filter casing. these are the lint filter sensors, they could be defective that is why it always indicate a clean lint filter alarm,

How do I use the self-cleaning option
According to the manual for IS series Mr. Coffee for programmable models:
1. Prepare one batch of Mr. Coffee coffeemaker cleaner. Pour the mixture into the water reservoir. Remove the water filtration disk from the machine.
4 cups or 20 oz. of undiluted, white household vinegar may be used as a substitute for the cleaner.
2. Place an empty paper filter or permanent filter into the filter basket and close.
3. Place the empty decanter back in the unit, centered on the warmer plate.
4. Press SELECT button until the red CLEAN indicator light is illuminated. For your convenience the cleaning cycle is automatic. The entire cycle will take 45-60 min to complete. During the cleaning your coffeemaker will:
  • Slow brew approx. 3 cups of cleaning solution.
  • Pause for 30 min (the CLEAN light will remain on to alert you that the process is active). At the end of the pause period your coffeemaker will beep.
  • After 30 mins your coffeemaker will brew the remainder of the cleaning solution.
  • When complete, the CLEAN light will turn off and your coffeemaker will automatically beep and shut off.
5.Discard the cleaning solution and rinse the decanter thoroughly with clean water.
6. Fill the water reservoir with clean fresh water.
7. Place the empty decanter back on the coffeemaker, centered on the warmer plate.
8. Remove and discard the filter used during the cleaning cycle and replace it with a fresh paper filter. If a permanent filter was used during cleaning, remove it and rinse it thoroughly before replacing it in the filter basket.
9.Begin brewing and allow the full brew cycle to complete.
Repeat steps 6-9 one more time.

the clean filter light will reset itself once the filter is completely clean. Try dust off the areas where the filter is inserted into as well.
