They can be expensive but they have just about every remote you could think of.

Need program codes for one for all remote\

Which One For All remote do you have? The manuals and code lists for most are available here: http://www.oneforall.com/support/manual . Use the drop down menus to select Universal Remote Control and then the specific remote model. Then click on the link to the manual.

You may need to program the amplifier and the dvd player separately. The codes below are for the URC-9960.
RCA Audio Amplifier codes: 1023, 1254, 0531, 1390, 1609
RCA DVD Player codes: 0522, 0571, 0717, 0822

Please note that universal remote controls only have codes for devices released 6 months or more before the remote was programmed. If your Home Theater System is newer than your One For All remote, you may need a newer remote.

I hope this helps.

What do i do when the screen flashes "protect"?

The Amplifier is overheating which is causing the unit to go into "protect" mode to prevent any further damage.

If you let the unit cool down it should start up again. When it does you need to check that all the speakers are producing sound correctly i.e. no crackles, hisses or buzzing. If any do not sound OK then disconnect them and see if you still get the fault. If all speakers sound OK then the fault is internal on the Amplifier circuit and it depends on your Technical ability if you wish to investigate this further.

Please note that repeated overheating and cooling of the Amplifier will eventually cause a total failure.

Volume won't turn down on the device using the dial.

It's not connected correctly to the amplifier or receiver - check you connections. Or, the volume control is bad in the system. Does the remote control volume work?

The volume does not change when connected to my tv. The volume does change when i play dvd's. I have had it working before but since I have moved it does not. please help.

TV remote varies the TV amplifier drive - you are probably plugged into the "line" output of the TV (which is before the TV amplifier). Line out is a fixed level (your DVD preamplifier is controlled by the DVD remote).

Anyway, with the TV on - go to the home theater box and increase the volume there. Once you get that set, you should be able to use the Home theater remote to always control the volume for everything displayed on your TV (except channel changes)

Teac PLD2000 Remote control

The best solution for any home theatre setup is a good universal remote. Some of the best ones are from logitech (used to be Harmony). They are capable of controling ANYTHING, and are Easily web programmable. Most common devices and stereos are already on their website so no long configuration is necessary. take a look at logitech's website: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/remotes/universal_remotes/devices/372&cl=ca,en for example would be a good buy. go down to your local circuit city or futureshop or such, and ask for a Logitech universal remote, they will likely know what you're asking for. Bigger is not always better, but getting a logitech remote will solve all of your universal remote problems for a long time to come. They're easy and always "updateable" online for the newest equipment available
