Not sure which OS, you're using, but try this:

Go to Start > Printers > right-click your PDF printer and go to Properties

Go to Printing Preferences and ensure in all possible locations there that you don't have "banner" selected.

Hi, I have lexmark printer, model X5495, and I am having problem with the machine. The alignment is on, and whenever I tried to make copies, the paper is all cramped up and got stuck. I cannot find my...

Try removing the cartridges from the printer. Close the cover. Remove the sheets of paper. Unplug the printer from the power source. Replug after 30 seconds. When the printer's ready, reload the cartridges. Load some paper, don't overload. Try printing again. If problem continues, I strongly suggest you contact Lexmark technical support to further investigate the problem. You may be having a hardware problem.

My Lexmark x5495 will not print. I get the message enable bidirectional communication. I am running XP operating system. What is the solution?

Go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes > right click on the Lexmark 5400 Series print object > Properties > Lexmark 5400 Series Properties window pops up, click on Ports tab > place a check mark in Enable bidirectional support by clicking in the box beside it. If problem persists, disconnect the printer usb cable from computer, uninstall the software completely by clicking on Windows logo Start menu > All Programs > Lexmark 5400 Series folder > Tools > Uninstall. Restart pc. To reinstalI, I recommend you use the software you can download from the Lexmark website. Just click on this link: http://bit.ly/cgn74X. Download and install the software. The printer acts like it is rinting but nothing

In that case, it looks like your print head is blocked. Try using the print head cleaning options in the printer menu.

If that doesn't work, try a new cartrige.

Lexmark X5495 - useless

I've had a problem like this before too, it's was down to two things which might be the same for you!
1) Is your printer plugged into a Power Surge Protector? if so then remove it from that and plug it into a normal plug, the surge protector sometimes doesn't allow the correct amount of power to reach the printer which causes an issue.
2) Your paper feed rollers, I had to clean mine with white spirt to remove the paper dust from the rollers, once done feeds paper everytime since!

If this has helped you then please rate me!
