Question about Kenwood KDC-W3534A CD Player
I have an KDC-MP239 that has displayed an E-99 error message since it was installed and will not play any type of CD. I paid cash for the unit but cannot find the receipt and the retailler will not honour the warrantee without it even though I have the bok and all other documentation including serial no.

best thing to do is Take the Player out of the dash, and open the lid and clean the laser and rails it rides up and down on manually. This is your best chance of getting it to read discs again and not buying a new Cd player. You can do it....

IF YOU DID NOT PRESS THE RESET BUTTON NEX TO THE USB PLUG, DO IT. IT WILL REINITIATE THE DEVICE TO THE FACTORY; YOU WILL HAVE TO ADJUST THE CLOCK.
I DID BECAUSE IT WAS WORKING AT FIRST.( PAGE 3 OF THE MANUAL)

Jennifer, I have the same issue. the problem is that the 2007+ generations of Kenwood receivers are not compatible with the iPhone. You will need to get a 2009+ series in order to use your iPhone with the head unit. I had the same issue with the Kenwood KDC-MP435U in my mustang. I am going to get a newer head unit that supports the iPhone. You cannot do it with the MP435U.
