Problem for Camcorders

Sony DCR-HC85 error code 31:23
When powering on the camcorder I get a flashing yellow triangle with line under it. I tried resetting, and leaving the camcorder bay open overnight, as I thought it may have moisture inside.
I've tried everything on resolving this and nothing is working. I tried two different tapes as well. Sony wants $341 to just look at the camcorder, and I'm hoping you experts will be able to help.
