Toastmaster waffle maker - have no manual

I need to know how much batter should be poured into each of the four sections on this waffle baker. Model # is TWB4?

Also what is the approximate baking time?

Also, should the iron be sprayed with Pam, etc. before using?

I lost the instructions for my sunbeam waffle maker, and I dont know how long Ihave to bake it.

Preparing Waffles

1. Close Waffle Maker and plug into outlet. Use only voltage specified on bottom of Waffle Maker. The Power light (Red) and Ready light (Green) will come on.
Caution: Touch Waffle Maker only by handles during use or directly after use. Take care not to touch hot surfaces.

2. The Waffle Maker is ready for initial use when the Ready (green) light goes out (approximately 2-4 minutes).

3. Open Waffle Maker, pour approximately 3/4 cup waffle batter onto grids. For best results, pour batter around outer edge of waffle maker. Close cover. It is very typical to have a small amount of batter run over grid and down Waffle Maker. However, if an excessive amount of batter runs over, use less batter.

4. Close the Waffle Maker by lowering the upper plate onto the lower plate and secure with the safety latch. Do not open cover while steam is escaping. Most waffles bake in approximately 2-4 minutes, depending on personal taste. Waffles are generally done when the Ready light (green) goes out and when steam no longer escapes from sides and front of Waffle Maker.

5. When waffles are done, remove with a fork or wooden tongs. Note: Be careful you do not scratch the non-stick cooking surface.

6. Close cover and wait for Ready light to go out before preparing another batch of waffles. The next waffle may be baked in less time because the plate will store heat.

ProLine waffle maker sticking. Followed all direction from factory. No Pam used.


The plates on the waffle maker need to have some sort of cooking oil or butter to lubricate and prevent your waffle mix from sticking.

Spray some PAM on the plates once the correct temperature has been reached, or alternatively brush on a little melted butter or vegetable oil. Pour in your waffle mix and when cooked the waffle should lift straight off.

I have a Betty Crocker belgian waffle baker and I can't find my manual with the recipes in it - I need the recipe for the belgian waffles that is in the manual.


2 eggs, 2 cups all purpose flour, 1/2 cup vegetable oil or 1/2 cup ( 1 stick) margarine or butter melted, 1 3/4 cups milk, 1 T. granulated or brown sugar, 4 tea. baking powder, 1/4 tea salt.
Heat waffle baker. Beat eggs with wire whisk or hand beater in medium bowl until fluffy. Beat in remaining ingredients just until smooth. Pour about 2/3 cup batter onto center of hot waffle baker. Bake about 5 minuted or until READY light goes off. Remove waffle carefully. About 3 1/2 cups batter.

Makes 10 4-inch Belgian waffle squares.

How does the ready light work


WHEN THE LIGHT GOES OFF THE PLATES ARE HOT . so the light must be off to add your mix . then time ...... most waffles are done in 2 to 3 mins and your done remove waffle but dont add more batter untill the light is off if this answer helped please rate it 3 or 4 stars , this high rateing will help keep me in the paid answer department thank you

Seasoning Waffle Baker and Grill


FIrst, make sure there is some kind of fat or oil in the waffle batter recipe. This is the biggest difference between waffle and pancake batter. Go to Sams or a restaurant supply store and get a spray product like waffle-off. Spray lightly aftter every few waffles. Use lightly as heavy spray can cause build up. If you can't find this product use one of the PAM type sprays for BBQ grills or maybe an olive oil based product. Regular Pam sprays build up faster as they are not really designed for this. Don't try to wash the grids between uses as they need to keep the oil coating. (Like using a cast iron skillet) They will turn a dark brown. Just brush off crumbs or use a damp rag. Make sure the waffles are completely cooked as when not completely cooked they will seperate and be very difficult to remove. They are cooked when the steam stops coming from the sides. This will take 3 - 6 minutes. Don't preheat with the iron open or allow it to stand open for any longer than necessary. (It can overheat)

Salton Belgium Waffle Maker


I, too, was searching for that wonderful Belgian Waffle recipe and thought, no problem, I'll just look on-line. I couldn't believe it when Salton didn't have it posted on their site (if they did, I couldn't find it) and was taken to your requests for the recipe. So, I went the whole mile, or should I say traveled over mountains of files, and couldn't believe that my filing system still works after all of these years, the Salton Belgian Waffle Maker & Recipe Guide for Model No. WM-4 was right where it was supposed to be. (And my husband, and prior bosses I should add, have laughed at how I save and file everything. I'm glad I can share this with you all now...

Basic Belgian Waffle Recipe
1 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 cup milk
1 egg, separated
1/2 tbl butter, melted
-Sift dry ingredients together in a bowl
-Add egg yolk and milk to the dry ingredients and beat together thoroughly.
-Beat egg white until stiff, stir 1/4 into batter to lighten it and then gently fold in the remaining egg white.
-Pour a scant 1/2 cup of batter onto the heated waffle mold. The light should be off. When batter is added, the light will go on. When the light goes off again, the waffle is done.
-Makes about 6 waffles.

Chocolate Waffles ("which make great ice cream sandwiches," says the recipe book.)
1 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
2/3 cup milk
1 egg, separated
2 Tbl melted butter
1 1/2 squares semi-sweet chocolate (1 1/2 ounces)
3/4 tsp vanilla
-Sift dry ingredients together in a bowl
-Add milk, egg yolk, and vanilla to dry ingredients and beat until well blended.
-Melt butter and chocolate together in microwave or double boiler. Stir chocolate mixture into batter.
-Beat egg white until stiff, stir 1/4 into the batter to lighten it and then gently fold in the remaining egg white.
-Pour a scant 1/2 cup of batter onto the heated heart waffle mold. (Hmm, the WM-4 isn't shaped into a heart??? Oh well, moving onward...)
-Makes about 6 waffles

Serve sprinkled with powdered sugar or cinnamon or topped with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce.
