Question about Sanyo DP42746 42 in. Plasma Television

1 Answer

Sanyo Dp42746 My tv is only 20 months old and went out and has not come back on. The green power light is comes on and i hear the click but nothing after that when i turn it off and on again no click. Seems that a lot of people are having the same issue with this model after such a short time. These tv are expensive not to last. I'm so upset and will never purchase another SANYO product. Please i encourage all of you to file a complaint with the Better Business B this is ridiculous. If anyone has any advice on how to fix this piece of junk please let me know. Thanks

Replace the y-main board and the upper and lower buffer boards. 300.00 from Sanyo. Install them your self or get someone technically minded to do it for you. It worked for me. It's been 6 months and the t.v. is still going strong.

Well I have the same problem with green light and no sound and no pix. After i opened it all up i checked the main power supply board and found all fuses good and the 12vdc side of the board dead. My best guess is this power board has many problems. All the driver boards for the screen are located on the perimiter of the screen. If you loose part of the power supply board you will loose part of functions of the tv. At this time i am looking to replace the entire power board. Will let you know the location and fix soon as i find it. jim jamesgibson@nycap.rr.com
