First you want a Windows Xp genuine CD and most of the drivers are built-in in Windows xp, also try to install windows xp with service pack 2 and after installation go the device manager and see how many device required drivers as you can see them with exclamation marks or question marks. go to google and download the device driver run it inside your pc also i recommend before you do got to device manager and indentify all your dirvers like VGA Sound and other devices

My acer aspire M1610 was reformatted that the complete acer system including VGA was lost. How can I restore it by downloading through internet using free download?

Depends if you completed a Full Format on acer systems they have a back-up partition that contains a complete image of your hard drive that gets left un-touched the way to access this is by pressing ALT button and tapping the F10 button as soon as you turn it on keep on tapping the F10 button until you hear a constant beeping which means the buffer is full, if your computer has kept this partial it will tell you the process you need to do "on screen instructions" If your computer does not have this then you will need to either use a wired connection and downloading the drivers directly using this link http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/downloads.html on some cases you wont have the ethernet controllers installed so its always best if you go to this site on a different computer and downloading the ethernet controllers on a removable memory stick to install it on the acer computer, as soon as this is done you will be able to use the acer site to download everything or the microsoft update to give you everything your computer has lost if you need further help use the comment below, Kronoguy.

Copy the entire link below and paste the whole thing in an address bar of the browser, it is the shortcut to the LAN driver for your laptop. An M1610 Aspire is also known as an Aspire 3680.

Problem with sound on acer aspire m1610

Well if your sound card went out then your kind of out of luck, but if you need to get the sound card to work again, like to install it then you need to go to the acer website and download the driver for it.
