Question about Dynamic Drill Doctor Large Chuck, Black, Plastic and Metal

1 Answer

Drill doctor won't sharpen bit

The tool is not too old. Diamond wheel seems to be in good shape but bits won't cut after sharpening. It seems like the bit wasn't in the right position for sharpening and the cut is starting too late.
Thanks Paul

Sounds like the angles have been cut wrong on the bits or you are drilling too fast

My bit in my drill is stuck into a large tree stump... that had been cut close to the ground. How can I get the bit unstuck? My dewalt drill is unable to drill in & drill out.

If it's a twist bit try putting a vice-grip pliers on the end and turn it so the fluting pushes the bit out. If it won't move or if it's a spade bit you'll have to split the wood around the bit. You may or may not be able to do this with the offending part of the stump in the ground. Using a wedge, drive it into the stump near but not next to the bit so you don't damage the bit. Don't drive the wedge flush into the stump or you may get the bit out and then have the wedge stuck. Worst case, carefully use a chainsaw to cut out the stump so you can split the wood around the bit.

Have a Drill Doctor 750X. Will not power up. This is a common problem with these units. How do I troubleshooting the motor, switch, Ect. The wire connections are sealed. My guess is that trash may be...

Here is the complete manual for your device:

To clean out grit: With the Drill Doctor unplugged, shake accumulated bit grinding dust from behind the Wheel Cover into a disposable container. Remove dust particles around the wheel with a small, dry brush. Dispose of the container and drill bit dust in a safe and environmentally approved manner. With a dry cloth wipe the inside and outside of the Sharpening Port to remove any grinding dust that may have accumulated. A standard 1" vacuum hose works equally well.

My battery says its charged, but none of the tools work thanks

Sounds like you either have a defective battery, defective charger or, with any luck at all you may only need to clean the contacts on the battery itself. Try using a pencil sharpener on your battery's contacts to clean them. You may need to trim down the eraser so it fits onto the contacts. Once you have cleaned them blow out any excess with sharp blows but be carefull to close your eyes with each blow so you don't get any bits of eraser in your eyes. Then, put it in your drill and se if it works. You may want to unplug your battery charger and clean those contacts also. Let me know if that was the culprit.
