Question about Televison & Video

My sanyo tv will turn on for a second and then turn off.

Every few seconds it turns itself on and off..

You can try a hard reset: Unplug TV from AC mains and remove all cables from TV. Wait about 30 minutes and replug to AC power and redo the cabling. Switch on the TV and see if it works.. Try to connect to different AC supply and check if its working..

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

When I turn it on the green light comes on for a few seconds an then it turns itself off.


You may have a fault in the power supply board and the tv is shutting down in to protection mode

TV turns off and immediately on again, by itself.


sounds like a defective str power regulator ic .......but my advice get a tech to resolder all the pins at the power suppy board area, there may be some open pins that triggers the on and off episodes

It only tells us that the inverter cable needs to be reseated or replaced. It's not an expensive repair so fortunately you can consult any local certified technician and have them work on this.

We were watching TV and the TV just turned itself off. We try turning it back on and we have a black screen for 10 seconds and then the TV turns itself off again. Called Sanyo and they said to unplug it...


Yes,unplug,replug the tv an hour later.The tv should reset itself back to factory setting and work.Not,than the tv power supply board have problems.That the board,where the power a/c coard plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
