There can be several causes. In many cases the power switch is thermo or current tripped, It is like a thermo circuit breaker.
The power switch itself may have to be changed. The element is pulling too much current. The thermostat may be defective.
Contact the manufacture to find out where you can buy spare parts to try. You will require the proper connectors, and crimp tools to work inside of these. Also, you will require a sound knowledge of how these appliances work, and the safe way of servicing them.
Because of the way you asked the question, I would think you are not familiar with how to service these devices. I would suggest to give the kettle to a service rep, or to purchase a new one. There are safety issues when servicing appliances.
If the fuse in the mains plug or MCB at the consumer unit / fuse box keeps tripping then there probably is a fault in the kettle element or switch. If the RCD is tripping (the safety device with the test button on it) then there is an electrical leak either due to a crack in the element or water has got into the wiring, switch or power cord of the kettle. Allow the kettle to dry out in a warm place for a day. Also check it at another power outlet to eliminate any problem with the outlet you are using.

Also, might seem a bit silly, but check if you have a stove switch on the wall near the stove. If that's turned off you won't get it to work :)
Based on what you are telling me, you have a very serious short inside the kettle. If you are familiar with electric circuits, you can remove the bottom and have a look. Maybe you can at least see the short and maybe repair it. Otherwise, have a appliance repair shop have a look.

There is no way to boost the amount of electricity to your kitchen, short of having an electrician run additional outlets on a new circuit. It sounds like you have too many appliances plugged into one circuit. Most kitchens built since the adoption of building codes have two small appliance circuits, usually on opposite sides of the room. Try moving the electric kettle across the room. If that doesn't work, try unplugging or at least not using the toaster, toaster oven, electric griddle, coffee maker, microwave, or other high demand appliances at the same time.
