Re: my ipod is not working after removing it from ihome
I think your ipod is dead. This happened to me to. I was listening to it when I arrived at my destination, and I thought I turned it off and I put it in my pocket. Later that day when I went to listen to it, it wouldn't turn on at all. Aparently, it had stayed on. Hold the pause button for five to ten seconds. The apple symbol will appear on your ipod. Immeadility put it in your docking station before it goes away. Your ipod will turn on, and it will start charging. If that doesn't work, make sure the hold switch is turned off. Mine is doing the same thing. So I looked it up. And it said to take out your iPod and unplug the ihome then take out the batteries from the ihome and leave it for an hour.. Then it will reset itself.. I just did it and it worked.. I also had to put in new batteries in the ihome
Welcome to the wonderful world of the iHome frying the Ipod. Your iHome, has most likely fried the mainboard on your ipod. to check plug a usb into the ipod and connect to the computer. if it comes up disconnect the usb and try a headphones in the jack. if it doesn;t play sound its fried and you will need a new mainboard. if it does play through the headphone jack, your lucky and keep it off the dock.
I have fixed at least 30 ipods taken out by ihome docks and other docks. they are terrible for the ipod. Even Apple sells the docks on their website that shows how much they care about the product.
