I connected my motorola VE240 to me computer with the sd card in it. The Device Driver Software is downloaded and everything and it says that everything is ready to use. I even went to settings/USB and changed it to MASS STORAGE but when i connect it to the computer the phone or anyting for that matter does not show up on the computer. You can hear that it is connected but it does not show up anywhere so i cant transfer the files.

Syncing with the Motorola VE240

transfer music to your phone
Before you copy files to your phone, make sure
the files are in a format that the phone recognizes. Your
phone’s music player can play the following types of
audio files: AAC, AAC+, MP3.
To prepare your phone to receive music files:
1 Insert a memory card into your phone (see
page 11).
2 Set your phone to Mass Storage mode by going to - >Settings > USB > Mass Storage.

You should be set. I was having the same problem

MicroSD does not contain supported music files

1. Install the sd into the phone.
2. Go to Menu > Settings > USB > Mass Storage
3. Connect the MotoVE240 to your PC via USB
4. Under My Computer open drive (E:).
5. Find the folder that has your music in it. Example: My compter made a folder called Music.
6. Drag music from that folder to the my_music folder. (the phone will only read music that is in this folder.)
7. remove your phone from the usb
8. press the music note on your phone and enjoy your music

Having problems playing music frommy sandisk 4gb micro memory card on my motorola ve240 cell phone

I have a similar problem, the issue for me was windows media player was creating a folder called music on my sd card and uploading the music there during sync function. However, the phone only looks in the \my_music folder on the SD card. Sync your phone, then rename the newly created music folder to my_music and the player will work. Still looking for a permanent solution to this problem.

I want to put music on my moto ve240

you need a micro sd card once you place the card in the slot provided under ther battery.. Go to setting select USB make sure Mass stororage is selected.. after that you can add songs by bluetooth or if you have a motorola usb cord compatible to your version you can connect your computer to your phone and sync it to WMP or with the USB that comes with the micro sd to add music

Using wmp to sync to mini sd card for a moto ve240 mp3 player

the device has to format the card. at this time the phone will create folders for music, videos, images, and what not. now when you insert the card into your computer you will open the card and copy the files to the music folder. this will allow access to the files from the handset visual platform.
Good Luck and please rate this solution!! :D
