Question about HP Compaq Presario V2000 Notebook

Note book fails to boot/power up

My situation is, having disassembled and then reassembled my HP V2325AP notebook, after two weeks of no noticable issues(i.e. everything worked as normal), it now refuses to boot up. It just starts(I can hear the hard drive begin to turn) for about 3 or 4 seconds before stopping- not even enough time for the screen to start.
I carelessly neglected to keep track of where each screw went when dismantling my notebook. There were three different types of screw I think- about 13 in all... Perhaps you would be able to point me in the direction of a "blue print" that tells you the correct place for the different size screws ? Additionally, the "charging battery" light lights up as normal when charging so I assume it is charging as normal...
Any advice would be appreciated- and happy New Year

Unplug all your devices from the motherboard - Hard drives, optical drives, memory, PCI cards, video card. Basically get it to where just your power supply is hooked to your motherboard. Again, make sure you have your main power connector and cpu connector seated correctly. If it stays on when its just the power supply, cpu, and motherboard, then you know it is one of your devices that is causing the problem. Just put each device back in one at a time and boot up until you notice the problem.

Motherboard is defective & needs to be replaced with a new one.
You can find a replacement motherboard by searching on e-bay.com with the motherboard's model number. This could be found under the RAM.

Hpa pavillion dv4-1220us has very high fan nosie and overheating problem

Make sure that the fan is running properly & that the air ways are not blocked.
You can blow compressed air into the cooling vents of the fan. If you notice clouds of dust coming out, then it might be a good idea to disassemble the laptop, clean the fan & air ways, & reassemble it back. If the fan has failed & is no longer running, it might need to be replaced.

I DO HAVE NOTEBOOK NX7010 COMPAQ RESTART

This could be a sign that your laptop is overheating. If you touch the laptop while it is running & you find it too hot, make sure that the fan is running properly & that the air ways are not blocked.

If none of this solves the problem, or is not the case, then you might have a bad motherboard.

Operating system is .............

power on the computer, immediatly tap f8 until you get to the boot menu. Choose "last known good configuration". If this fails, your master boot record is corrupt.Boot into safemode, copy all of your data to an external hard drive, then reload your operating system from the secondary partition on your hard drive or insert your OS restore disk and follow the directions.

Power/battery problem

hi, try removing the batt press and hold the power down for 1 minute, dont replace battery yet, plug in charger, boot up then shut down. replace battery and boot.
if this fails you could also try changing your power settings in control panel. change to minimal power managment.
remove the adapter while laptop is on and allow to completly drain(untill it switches off)
then try reboot.
