Seeking ARTlink V2.0 - Service Pack Driver Update 2.19

I have searched the internet high and low for the above driver update, and the Bernina OESD site no longer supports Artlink v2. Is my only option to go to my dealer? All they ever want do to do is upsell me to the editor software, which I don't need because I don't use the 180E embroidery module that much.

Another possible approach. Again, researching for my own problems, I wrote to Bernina. They gave me the link to the old database, which, well, maybe it's just me, but I couldn't find this from their current site. I saw some info about an Artlink download that is available, but not supported, so maybe it's the one you want. Hope so. .

How do I connect a 180e serial cable to my usb computer when Artlink and CPS software specify serial port?

I've not successfully managed this ... trouble-is that although you can get USB-to-serial converters, most computers that only have USB ports do not properly 'recognise' COM ports, which is what your Artlink software expects to talk to. I still use an old PC with a 'proper' 9-pin serial port on the back in order to talk to the old Artista range of machines. One of the drawbacks of a 'throwaway' PC industry that expects the rest of the world to continually update everything in response to new interface standards!

My Bernina Artista 180E no longer works with updated Windows. Is it possible to upgrade so that I can still use my 180E and not have to buy another machine?

Just use the free download software from Bernina called Artlink. I used it along with a USB to Serial converter cable to connect to the machine. Works wonderfully. Allows me to still use my old Artista designer software if I want to on an older machine and then when I want to actually transfer the designs I use the laptop with the USB cable.

Hi I am looking for the software for a bernina artista 170 Artlink CPS special edition 2000 Platinum edition. I Just bought it and the software is for a older computer and I need the software for windows...

I would go to the bernina website and see if any upgrades/updates are available. Most sewing manufacturers have these available for free. Phone a friendly dealer too.

What is lastest version of artlink w/ 180e to use with new .ART files

Yes you can use V4.0 artlink it is available in some markets upto V5 it just depends what version the designs were done in. If it was higher than V4.0 you may still have an issue. Have a look at some of the programs like Embird for more cost effective ways to edit designs but you will still need Artlink to load designs onto the machine.

Bernina has a new version of Artlink available from your local dealer. It is not free, older versions do not work with Vista, sorry for the bad news.
