Stick a flat bladed screw driver in the front side of the clip and the handle of the scew driver will be leaning toward the front of the machine, push the tool toward the back of the machine and the clip should pop out of the top.

How do I remove and replace a lid switch on a whirlpool ultimate care II quite wash and what tools will I be needing.

You got two star screws on each side of the console then flip the console disconnect the quick plug on the right hand side. Next you got two gold colored clips to take off. cabinet tilts forward. Two screws holding the lid swich and unclip it on the inner cabinet. Sounds more difficult then it is. An expert should take him no more than 15 min.

Whirlpool Ultimate care II doesnt' advance through

Lean washer on its back and check for broken wire from the motor wire harness up the back panel.
If you find the wire repair it and make sure the wire harness is secure in the provided clips.

How do brass (gold) clips go back into the slots when trying to put Whirlpool Ultimate Care II back panel back on after repairs are done?

they can only go in one way it's a matter of figuring it out. Believe me I've taken more time trying to figure this out when I did not pay attention as to how they were before removing.

How to remove back & top of a whirlpool ultimate care II washer

I'm not sure of the model number of the stove but usually slide a putty knife under the control panel between the bottom of the control and the top of the base. There is a clip on each side then the panel will tilt back and you can take it off. After that there are 2 gold clips that hold the back on to the base. Remove them by snapping then out of the base. The the whole thing is loose and the base (where the lid and sides are. Comes out as 1 big piece. If you get the model number from under the lid, you can go to http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action?intcmp=xsite_Sears
and it will show you a breakdown of the machine. Let me know if you need anything else.
