Gas dryer Maytag model # LDG410

If you have a newer model with electronic ignition, check igniter by the burner, or if a pilot light ignition, obviously re-light, but possibly the gas safety interlock switch is tripped by a weak pilot flame, which causes main gas valve to stay off. Best guess, igniter element has cracked, and is simple to replace, order online.

There is no pilot on your dryer. It is an electronic ignition so it has an electronic ignitor. There is no standing pilot on the unit. You have a mechanical failure and it will require a technician to diagnose the problem. Hope this helps.

if the dryer is gas you must relight the pilot light or (if it has one)the ignitor is no good if it got wet also you could dry off the igintor or replace it.ignitor or pilot light will be under a small door on the back of the dryer about where the gas line goes into the dryer.jaykra

Hi, With the dryer running, look into the small front panel and see if the ignitor is glowing at all. If the ignitor glows but there is no flame, the coils on the gas valve are bad. If the ignitor does not glow, you will need to (with the dryer unplugged) check continuity on the thermostats and the flame sensor on the side of the burner.
If any of these parts show no continuity, that part will need changed.
