Turn tablet off and charge it when the tablet sometimes works

Unplug the Battery, hold the Power button for 10 seconds to discharge any capacitors, Plug the battery back in, Charge the tablet until the battery reaches 100% (Factory Charger preferred), Turn it on. If this doesn't work it could be a bad battery, bad charger or bad USB connector.7 Jan 2014

not saying any off this is going to work for you but read it anyway.
the reason i say this is because i had some one else with the same problem but it ended up it was the tablet itself was faulty.

what tablet is it ? you will have to do a full factory restore ( loosing everything ) if its apple then plug it into a compter and use itunes to restore it ( if you have synced before then you wont loose everything ) if its android turn the tablet off/hold the volume up button and the home button together and keep holding them while you power the tablet on,you will get a menu to restore it. some tablets have a very small reset hole on the back,use a paper clip and push the tiny button in that hole to reset it.

At this level of charge their is not enough to start the boot process , if it doesn't charge at all their may be a fault with the Battery cell , however i had a similar issue, just leave it for a while, if their is still no indication that its charging or it wont turn on their could also be a problem with the Start Button

Sorry, But Tablet Has Suffered A Thing Called Total Exhaustion. Means Either You Had Tablet For A Long Time And It Quit On You Or It Is Suffering From -1% battery. You Need Either A New Battery Or A New Tablet.

Try to charge it by the original adapter as the PC USB output is not power full enough to supply charging for it

so my tablet wont charge but it turns on but the battery stops then turns off.so what should i do about it.

1) Connect to wall charger for power
2) hold the on/off button and the home button down at the same time for up to five minutes till you see the apple logo -then it should restart.
3) If it does not turn on - take in for service at a Local apple store or authorized service provider.
