Playstation 2 singstar mics usb not recognized

I have had my 2 mics for a few months.. last night I used them earlier in the evening then I plugged them later and in my system won't recognize the usb adapter. The blue light still comes on but the game says it's not connected. Any ideas why this happened and how to fix it??

I have since been able to identify that it is the adapter and not the mics...I have contacted sony...I see this problem is noted often on various sites..No-one has offered a solution.

PS2 singstar microphones are not recognizing the usb connector. I bought new mics to fix the issue and I'm getting the same error only a week later. Very frustrated and looking for a solution.

SOURCE: singstar mics

What was the quality of the mics when you got them?
Are there small children around playing with them, or have they been used frequently and maybe had a bunch of wear and tear? If you have only had it for three months you may want to check and see how long your warranty was for you could be entitled to replacement.

With the mics on , unplug PS2 from wall and then reboot system with mics in and on and it should recognize them.

My playstation won't recognize my USB ports for Singstar.

What I would do is get another USB port and put both in a computer. Once they are plugged in,you can move ones data to the other. plug the 2nd one in and it might work.If not,it's a problem with your ps2 and you should get it fixed. Thanks!

Having problems with Nintendo Wii Beatles game. It allows for only one device (guitar, microphone, drums etc.) to be conntected. When the guitar is plugged in it does not recognize the mic and when the...

I dealt with Beatles Rockband Wii on 2 systems with 2 different configurations.
  1. Wireless Drum kit configuration. The Drum USB Transmitter has 2 additional USB ports, that allow Guitar/mic to be connected, plus there is the remaining USB port on the Wii
  2. Wired Drum kit comes with a 4 port USB hub, connect the hub to the Wii, and connect all instruments to the USB hub.
The Wii will only allow 4 controllers connected at once. So if you have multiple Wii Motes, then you may have to disconnect all but the one used for the Mic player (Press 1 on the Wii mote to unsync or remove the batteries)

The instruments aren't recognized

I would recommend contacting sony as it may be something to do with a software update.

PS3

The PS3 cannot recognize every drive. There are a few dependencies on that one.

1. The drive must be FAT16 or FAT32.
2. It needs the following folder structure. In the root of the disk/stick must be:

PHOTO
MUSIC
VIDEO
PS3

The music must be directly in to the MUSIC folder. If you add even one subfolder it won't recognize it. (for example: \MUSIC\Artist\File.mp3)

I hope this helps. Please rate!

DarkNeogen.
