Question about Breadman TR500 Bread Maker

Bread pan will not seat properly in the machine

I have had the machine for 2 weeks, made 3 loaves of bread and now the bread pan will not seat properly in the machine, (not click into place)
how do I adjust the stays on the side to make it stay in place when the machine is working?

The breadpan has warped from the heat of the maker (the only way to fix it is to get a new pan) Call the company for a FREE replacment! have a good new year

You can make 1.5 lb. loaves for sure. If your pan is the vertical type with one paddle then you can also make the smaller 1 pound loaves.

Plz find below the recipe for White Bread:

Ingredients:
  • 6 to 7 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 2 packages quick acting or active dry yeast
  • 2 1/4 cups scalded milk cooled to about 120°
Preparation: Mix 3 1/2 cups of flour with sugar, salt, shortening and yeast in a large mixing bowl. Add very warm milk; beat for about 1 minute. Stir in enough of the remaining flour, a cup or so at a time, until dough is easy to handle. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead, adding more flour as necessary to keep it from sticking, until smooth and elastic, about 8 to 10 minutes. Place dough in a large buttered mixing bowl. Turn dough over so greased side is up. Cover with a clean dish towel and let rise in a warm place, out of drafts, for about 1 hour, or until doubled. When dough is touched, an indentation will remain. Punch dough down and divide into two equal portions. Flatten each half with hands or rolling pins into a rectangle about 18x10 inches. Starting at 10-inch edge, roll dough tightly; pinch long seam together. With sides of hands, press each end of loaf; fold ends under loaf. Place loaves, seam side down, in loaf pans (approximately 9 x 5 x 3-inch). Brush each loaf lightly with butter. Cover loosely with clean dish towels and let rise until double, about 35 to 50 minutes. Preheat oven to 425°. Bake loaves on a low rack, so tops of pans are at the center of the oven. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Bread will sound hollow when lightly tapped. Makes 2 loaves of white bread.

My toastmaster bread machine 1142, the bread sticks to the pan and the kneading tool gets lodged in the bread after it is baked. What can I do to prevent this or do I need to buy a new bread pan and...


The next time you make your bread use the same recipe but use 2 table spoons less liquid. Having the paddle come off in the bread is not abnormal. If the bread sticks to the pan again let me know daryl441@msn.com Sometimes my paddles stay in the loaves sometimes they do not.

Loaves are smaller; loaf pan does not seem to stay in place but has jumped off; I have lifted brackets at side of pan and it has held pan in place but now loaves are not rising as they used to and bm....


reach in with your fingers and bend the two little clips out a little until they grip your pan snugly. Start with 1/4 " and try that. If it doesn't feel snug go another 1/4 inch.... and so on....

It is not mixing all the way. Nothing is jammed. 3 loaves now have not come out, because clearly it hasn't been mixed thoroughly, like it used to. No burning motor smell.

This can be caused by a few things.
1. Check the bread kneading paddle(s). Make sure that it fits properly and is not slipping on the drive shaft. Also look for cracks in the paddle blade hub.

2. Check the bread pan coupler and drive pan bearings (link is a picture reference only of a USED part. http://cgi.ebay.com/Breadman-bread-machine-TR2200-Parts-Coupler-/200535459633?pt=Small_Kitchen_Appliances_US&hash=item2eb0d84731 (klunking sound usually noted if this part has failed)

3. Inside the bottom of the unit check the belt tensioner. (Picture reference only!)

Usually if there is a belt or tensioner problem you will note a lot of rubber pieces in the bottom of the unit.

How To Make Bread (without a bread machine)
Step 1 What you'll need
You will need: Yeast - 2 Tbsp Hot-ish* water - 2 cups Bread flour - 5 cups total, 2 for the sponge and 3 for later. (NOT regular flour) Sugar - 2 Tbsp. Salt - 2 tsp. Oil - 2 Tbsp. 3 loaf pans Quick-read thermometer Oven pre-heated to 375 *Hot-ish means betw…
Step 2. Make the sponge
This recipe uses what I call a "sponge." The sponge will activate the yeast and get things started; getting the yeast warm, happy, and ready to go Start by mixing the hot water and the flour. let the dough rise in a warm place for about 45 minutes to an hour. the dough should be about doubled in size by the time it's finished.
Step 5. Into the pans
Punch the dough down (Yes, punch it. Beat the heck out of it. Just don't make a mess), then divide it into 3 parts. Spray the pans and put the dough in. Let it rise again in the pans (covered) util it looks like the second picture.
Step 6. Into the oven
Preheat your oven to 375 F and put the loaves in. Bake them for about 25 minutes. Your quick read thermometer should read between 180 and 190 degrees. Pull the loaves out and place them on their sides on a rack, after a few seconds slide them out of the pans and onto the rack. Let them cool.Step 7 Eat!
Eat it! Share it! etc.! You can do a lot with this recipe... ...You can add nuts, roll it out and add cinnamon and raisins for cinnamon-swirl bread, add your favorite spices, etc. Add sweet potatoes, chunks of cheese, pieces of ham, or whatever suites you.

Kneading problem - lop-sided loaves


it is very imporant that you put the ingredients in the right order (water on the bottom, flour floating on top o it, yeast on the flour not touching the wwater). Also the amount of water is crucial.
The bread becomes evenly distributed during rise.
Rise problems might be due to improper kneading which in turn might be due to the pan jumping. Check that the pan is not jumping during kneading.

Need recipe for 1 lb whole wheat loaf


I have a very healthy recipe. Makes two loaves so you will have to divide in two.

13 oz. water (warm)
3 3/4 cup stone ground whole wheat flour
1/2 cup steel cut oats
2 T oil
2 T dry milk
2 T vital wheat gluten
3 T honey
1 1/2 t salt
1 T active dry yeast

When machine beeps add if desired:

1/2 cup golden flax seeds
1/4 cup unroasted sunflour seeds or sesame seeds (or both)

Put into machine and go. I usually set it on dough cycle and put into pans for second rise 50min in a warm, draft free area. Preheat oven to 400 place bread in oven after second rise, reduce heat to 375 and bake 30-35 min.

Bread pan pops out during kneading, hard to remove after baking


I have Breadman Ultimate for over 12 years now. I make bread 2-3 times a week for the past 10 years. I found that the bread pan popping out only happens when the motor shaft and the kneading paddle are not tightly engaged. I find this problem in the following two scenarios: 1. The bread pan was not pushed down all the way as described by cassie_hobbs and tlcquiltnut. 2. Debris filled up the motor-shaft bowl underneath the bread pan to prevent a tight engagement of the motor shaft and the kneading paddle. These debris are generated during the kneading process; part of the ingredients is pushed out of the shallow horizontal pan and accumulated underneath. To avoid the problem, I have to periodically remove debris from the shaft bowl and make sure the pan pushed all the way down. To reduce the debris, I made a simple cover for the bread pan by cutting an old aluminum baking dish. I always remove the cover after the kneading cycle to prevent the rising dough from reaching the bottom of the cover. Hope this helps. Wendy
