Changing default language in Canon Software for MP810
Hi I had the same problem with an ip4500
Go to printers and faxes in the start menu, right click on your printer, left click on printing preferences, this should be the second line down, the print pref. menu window will open, you may not be able to read any of this, on the top should be five tabs, the last one is the maintenance tab (has pliers and screwdriver symbols), left click on this tab, you should see all the maintenance buttons with icons inside and six rectangular buttons in the bottom right hand corner (four on the bottom and two above them), ignore the four on the bottom for now, ( with right to left languages such as Arabic the upper two buttons are on the left hand side and the button you need to click is on the left side) left click on the button that is on the right hand side of the two buttons above the other four, a smaller window will open with three buttons on the bottom, directly above this is a bounding box with a drop down arrow on the right hand side ( left side for R to L languages), click the arrow, find "English" or whatever language takes your fancy, click on it, now of the three buttons on the bottom of the SMALL window click the one on the left( right for R to L languages), the small window should close, then of the four buttons on the very bottom of the pref. window ( these are the four you ignored before ) click the one on the left, the window will close. Go back to printers and faxes, right click on your printer, choose print pref. and your menu should be in your new language. Hope this helps.
