Forgot to mention that this setup works with T-Mobile exclusively.
Well the data packet just provides you with text and media message abilities, so that's between you and your provider. Unfortunately, I didn't come up with these instructions, I found them on another site so I don't have any further help. I would suggest calling your provider, as that seems to work for a lot of i9 users.

Follow this link and send yourself the settings for the Nokia 2610. If you see something pop up and then go away, press the power button really quickly just once to get it back up.
Tap install, then keep tapping install until you get back to the main screen.
Tier 3 data support, T-mobile USA
Scroll down mid screen to tmobile settings--You have to tyoe it EXACTLY like it says step for step and YES it will work..i have tmobile and was about to scream..until i found this site and set the features just like it said..you have to edit one of the profiles to make it a tmobile one..I have had NO luck with the LIVE reps from tmobile myself..I am sortof an expert on this phone now have had it one month and at first it FRUSTRATED me..but now all works and flows smoothly with that websites help and ALOT of trial and Error..Email me if you need anything else--Id be glad to help anyone else NOT to go thru what i have..but and expert now..LOL!!!
Http://www.chinamanuals.com claims to have MMS and GPRS settings for all major providers WORLDWIDE. Ask them!
Call your tmobile rep. dial 611 on the phone with your tmobile sim card in it. they will send data packets with the setup info right to your phone. or if you use the my.t-mobile.com site, you can do it yourself on there. however, i find it much easier to just deal with a live human rep. hope this helps.

HEYYY everyone.. ok well I called T-mobile and I told the guy what kind of phone it was... the i9, and he transferred me to a tier 3 representative. This guy knew exactly my problem, sent me all the setting via SMS text, all i had do do was to push save settings. He also told me that that department was the only ones who could/ would know how to deal with phones like the i9. he also set it up so the phoen has free t-zones. Good luckers yall!
