Question about Televison & Video
Convergence problems with my TOSHIBA TP55H60 rear projection tv. Can align center, 4, 5 & 6 but not the remaining. Green bow down from the top and up from the bottom keeps me fron aligning top and bottom convergence. Is there a fix and if so, is there a repair manual I can get to instruct me how to fix. Old TV...purchased in 1997.
You need to replace the convergence ic's these are the stk-xxx-xxx chips found on heat-sinks
on or around the main chassis don't adjust the tubes or anything else this will only make things worse after you replace them you can do the user alignment also check the values of the resistors in the circuit as they may be off now pay close attention to the resistors that have a value less than 10 ohms these are critical to the correct alignment if in doubt replace the resistor.
