Is it normal for the washing machine to start and stop the spinning while the machine is in each cycle? Should it take over an hour to run one wash cycle?

Yes...they use less water...so they start, tumble, then cycle again adding more water. I use the fastest setting on all my clothes which is 1/2 hour. It also does start and stop during spinning to tumble the clothes. It speeds up as it goes thru each stop till it spins real fast. All my clothes wash perfectly on fastest cycle.

Washer just keeps filling and never advances on large and medium loads only

Your drain hose is pushed too far down into the drain so when you select the larger load sizes the water is being siphoned out as it goes in due to the pressure differential.

Whirlpool GSQ963ILL0 top load washer. Stopped dead in middle of agitate cycle. I fear I overloaded it. Now just sitting, full of clothes and water, and won't do anything. Any advice?

Hi jim_zervas,

Firstly, unplug the machine. Then first thing to do is remove the clothing, and bucket the water out. Then run the machine again.

Let me know what happens?

Kind Regards

We just bought our Admiral Top load washer 1 week ago and now the water will not fill the machine to do one load. We have stop using the super capacity setting and are trying the medium capacity setting...

ck to see how far down in stand pipe drain hose is shouldn't be more than 6-8 in also be sure stand pipe is at least the height of washer edge above floor there also needs to be small gap between washer hose and standpipe ..if hose is too tight in stand pipe or too far down or not high enough from floor a problem with siphoning may occur
