I plugged in my MP3 player today & all was well. My husband has deleted a lot of stuff & now my MP3 player is reading Connected only & is not charging or doing anything . Thanks for your help I...

looks like hubby deleted all the files that come with the mp3 player. tell him , remember its like a little hard drive and comes with its own operating system. would he jump on your computer and delete windows because he didnt know what it was , i think i can answer that, no .

ok you know the manufacturer of the mp3 then go to there web page an look for tech support or might see the word download, select the model and the gb size your have because most list by gb size you will have to downlod to your computer and then plug in your mp3 player and copy them over like songs otherwise your mp3 will be rendered useless.

Ok so I have a coby mp3 player and the songs are

Ok there are 2 Solutions that can fix this:

First:

1. Plug the MP3 player into the USB port. Open Windows Media Player, which will recognize that the device is plugged in and register under the "Sync" tab at the top.
2. Click on the "Sync" tab and and the library that is on your MP3 player will be displayed.
3. You can select individual songs or albums for deletion. Simply right click on the song or album to be deleted and scroll down to the "Delete" option.
4. After selecting "Delete," another window will come up which says "Are you sure you want to delete [title of song]?" There are two options at this point--you can delete from the library only or from the library and your computer. Select the one or the other and click
"OK." The song will be deleted. The change will be displayed within the library onscreen.
5. When you unplug the player from the port, the library will adjust the files to reflect the change. The player will say "configuring library" or some other message to that effect. Once this has finished, the main screen will be displayed. Depending on the model of the MP3 player, there may be a message stating "library updated."

Or if that does not work try this:

Try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilities from the Coby's website. Make sure that you back your music up first because when you do this you are setting it back to factory settings.

Cant put songs on mp3 anymore

how did you delete them?
did you delete them instantly from the file page or through the program they probably gave you with your mp3?

Also, if you removed your mp3 without clicking the "safely remove hardware" button before disconnected your mp3 with the computer, than it may have caused confussion with your hardware.

I can't delete music from my Sansa e260

You can remove content on the Sansa itself by highlighting the song you want to delete, then down click and select "Delete" while the song is highlighted.

Also, there is a setting within the software on the PC that you can change to prevent the Sansa from automaticaly syncing if you don't want it to do that.

You can delete them thru My Computer. Double click on the Sansa (m200), inside you will see a Music Folder. Inside is your individual tracks, separated by album names. You can add or delete all music from here. Best of Luck.
