Question about Intuit QuickBooks Pro 2007 Full Version (299116)

1 Answer

As of Jan 2009 I cannot open my Quickbook Pro 2007 program

I keep getting and error (-6000,-301)
I have an older quickbooks prgram, 2002, it lets me open that one, but it does me no good. Information not up to date or complete.
I called Intuit, after being on the phone for an hour, they finally told me I needed tech support, and I needed to sign up for a program, costing me $79. for each problem. I was angry at this. It think Intuit/Quickbooks should offer you help for free. After all, it costs plenty to keep this program. I am so frustrated now and don't know wht to do. I can't even find the file now on my pc. I do have online backup, It backed up company file earlier today. When I go to look at the file, it is missing.
I would be so grateful to find a solution to this without paying for their support, or maybe even having to upgrade, which I wonder if that isnt the scam to begin with.

    Hi Jaranya8,

I am using windows xp. And yes, I have used the restore point but it didnt help

Quickbooks will come up for me, but not the right one... a 2002 version comes up, old info in there, it will not let me bring up Quickbooks Pro 2007. It acts like it will, but all it shows it the header, everything else is grayed out except for File Help & options... I cnt click on anything withint the company file

Hello. try reinstalling your Quickbooks Pro 2007 in the different folder so that your previous QB installation will not be overwritten. Drop me a comment so I can give my best idea and the solution.

Actually in my case, the Windows window opens and simply states that an error has occurred. My solution was to simply reset my Internet Explorer to it's default. Internet Explorer plays a big role with Quickbooks! Possibly an adjustment of the virtual memory or deletion of the temp files might do the same trick, but in my haste, I didn't bother. Maybe in your case defaulting your browser settings might be losing too much, so try the memory stuff first. Resetting the brower is done by going into tools then options then advanced, the reset button is just up from the bottom of the box. Good luck!

Error -6123, 0

I would suggest a re-install first.

However it is an older version of the program so you may want to get a newer one.

That would allow you to IMPORT your older data and keep up with the relevant tax informayion

Error message Library not registered

I got the message "Line 25: Library not registered" after uninstalling QuickBooks Pro 2009 and trying to run my old version of QB Pro 2006.

(I had installed 2009 version to upgrade my QB2006 Pro version but got into problems with multicurrency support not being supported in the Canadian QB Pro 2009.)

Fix is VERY easy and I think it applies to anyone trying to run an older version of QB Pro after uninstalling a newer version.

Fix is to find the file "reboot.bat" located in the program files associated with the older QB version.
In my case it was found in "C:/Program Files\Intuit\QuickBooks Pro" folder.
Just double click on the file to run it. This file tells the system where parts of the QB program are located including the DLL libraries it needs. After running this file you should be able to run your old QB version OK. No rebooting necessary.
