Question about Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 v2.0

1 Answer

Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 (Model 1052):

After 2-3 months of use, the left (click) button does not work; other buttons seem to work as designed. Have tried (1) change batteries, (2) reconnect to receiver, ans (3) setting function of left key via Control Panel/Mouse/Buttons

the first left click takes tome to register with the computer ... I need to hold the left click button a little longer for a proper response but the second click is OK and works fast.

All of a sudden the left button does not work anymore. New batteries don't solve it, in control panel the mouse is set normally. I'm going to put back an old mouse (with cord).

Normal 0 Go to Control Panel and click on the Mouse icon. Then the mouse properties will appear showing the mouse buttons. Put the pointer on the left button and then go to the drop down and make sure the buttoon is set properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

The wireless dongle plugged into the computer is on a specific frequency and you wont be able to peer it with a different mouse. However if it is a Bluetooth and not wireless, you can pair another Bluetooth mouse no problem.

Okay so my right button isn't working properly i have to hold it down for a while for it to register the right click, I really need help, thank you

The only cause I can think of is a weak battery. If this is not the case, then the mouse could have a bad or dirty contact under the right button.
If you can scroll and the left button works well, I'd lean toward the dirty contacts.

The laser on the mouse is not working even with fresh batteries. I use the right button and the mouse moves in a "square" shape and then stops.

i dont think it would be the led ( pass laser) as they last yrs i think you will find its a blown crt in the mouse i would replace it.

How do I sync a Microsoft Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 6000?

You have to have the mouse and the usb receiver on the same channel. There should be a small button on both devices. First press the button on the mouse to see if starts to work. repeat at least 5 times to get through all the channels. If it doesn't work, then try pressing the buttons on the usb receiver and the mouse. I hope this helps.

Sounds like a bad button. Does it still feel and click like the left? Try another mouse to rule out software.
