One day when driving my windshield wipers made a loud noise and stopped working. i turned them off and the loud banging like noise kept happened. it sounds like the motor is stuck in motion. im not sure what happened but the noise is coming from the wiper compartment
It sounds as if the wiper linkage has come adrift, normally will require renewal of a link arm

does the motor not run? check the operation rods connected to the arms and the motor, see if they are bent

there may be a wire disconnected or a fuse that has gone bad.
wiper motors are usually pretty expensive. you might be able to find it used but you also should check if they go bad a lot in that car so you dont get a used one just for it to go bad again so soon.

Sounds like the wiper motor is seizing up... it doubles and the washer pump ...
try to move them manually when you have them turned on...

If the motor is running then the fuse shouldnt be the problem, iv had problems in the past where the tensioning spring that keeps the blade against the window is too tight and has seized the wiper, turn on the wipers and lift the wipers gently and drop them back into place a few times, a few gentle nudges wont hurt,
