Limited connectivity

I recently connected a router to my computer. I will be able to connect to the internet for a couple of hours then i lose connection on both my laptop and desktop. desk top says it can't find the server and the laptop has a strong signal from laptop to router but no internet. if i reinstall the router then i get a connection on both again for a limited time. I think the problem is between my router and desktop. I have AVG antivirus and the router is set up for WPA personal and my laptop has Norton. Any advise would be helpful. i Have the same problem I also have an antivirus however I dont have to reinstall I just powercycle the router and my modem and im connected within a couple minuites... still a very annoying problem... My computer is hardwired thru the router and im running my nintendo wii through the wireless network when it goes down I cant connect on either device... any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
