If the freezers is freezing everything and you can hear the circulation fan, maybe it is a defrost problem. Sometime ice will build up behind the rear panel in the freezer section that blocks either the chilling tubes to the refrigerator section.
You will need to remove the food from the freezer, then remove the shelves and inside back panel of the freezer. If you see a lot of ice, that is probably your problem. DON'T use water to defrost, either unplug and let it set with the door open or hurry it up with a hair dryer.
It also means your defrost assembly has stopped working and will need replaced, but the unit will work without it for several weeks before the ice build up redevelops.
Have you checked/changed your water filter? A bad water filter will stop/slow the flow of the water to your ice maker. Are you still able to get water from the dispenser? If you are, then it could be a bad ice maker, or the fill tube could be frozen, which is the main tube where the water comes in. This could also be a bad water valve inlet.
could have a bad water valve, next time send model number.on some of the ice makers you can pop off the white cover and on the right hand side you'll see to holes close together, you can jump out the ice maker to see if the water valve is sending up enough water to fill the ice maker, stick the end of the wire in each hole, you'll see the middle part start turning, when the theeth of the ice maker are at 9 oclock pull the wire out and watch to see the ice maker fill.if it doesn't fill and you hear the water valve turn on the valve is bad and has to be changed out.let me know how you make out
there iis a switch on the door dispenser that operates when you slip your glas up for cold water and in doing this you should hear a click from the solinoid when this part of operation takes place
if no noise then probable the solinoid is faulty
if there is a noise then disconnect pipe going up inside of door which in toe kick area try pushinhing on switch to operate if no water comes out remove filter and try again, water should come out where the filter is situated
if no go replace water valve
