Hi,

Assuming that it was working before you descaled the machine, I'd focus on that as a possible cause.

Since the error code (steady red light) is the same for both (1) the coffee bean bin being empty, and (2) the water level sensor thinking there's not enough water in the reservoir, and you were just descaling the machine, I suspect that something involving the descaling is causing the problem. Either the water level sensor is damaged (possibly by the descaling chemical) or there's a chunk of mineral stuck in there, or something along those lines.

If there's absolutely nothing blocking the sensor, then there are three logical possibilities.

1) Damaged sensor - shouldn't be an issue if you used an accepted descaling chemical.
2) Faulty sensor - is it still under-warranty?
3) Control panel is bad (warranty?).

If I can be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it accordingly.

Thanks in-advance for using Fixya.com,

Jon

According to the manufacturer these units are prone to having faulty control panels. The only solution I found (as recommended by the manufacturer) is to return the item for repair or replacement. I found no repair parts available in my network of contacts. Hope this helps!

Try to clean the tubes and filters. What specific part did you replace? Try to unplug the power for about 5-10 minutes then plug it back in.

I think you already tried unplugging power to reset. Tell me what error message you get.

The coffee bean error happens usually because the dispenser is dirty with oil. This happens often if you use oily beans cofee.
The dispenser must be cleaned. Also perform complete cleaning of the machine, see pages 25 onward on manual here.

Machine shows message 'dregdrawer full' even thought the dreg drawer is empty. cant get rid of this error message.

Hi
When you go to empty the dredge drawer you must leave the machine on. When you remove the dredge drawer it will say dredge drawer missing. Leave it out at least 15 seconds so the machine knows you are empting it. When you insert it again the machine will count about 24 cycles and tell you to empty it again. Its a counter.

You have one of 2 problems either the grinds chute to the brew unit is blocked, or the grind is too fine.

I have a Gaggia syncrony compact coffee machine and the coffee grinder has jammed for the second time. The repair agent employed by Gaggia inform me that they have been waiting for spare parts from Gaggia...

If the grinder jammed it might have been because the grind was too fine, try adjusting coarser then using the + or - lever to add more coffee for proper extraction. To clear jam remove brew unit and locate door to grinder chamber on left, vac out grounds, also beans in hopper. When clean run grinder and set to coarser, then add small amount of beans and test.

Has the machine been de-scaled recently? I would run a descaling solution through the machine first to eliminate that.

The red water light on my gaggia syncrony won't go off despite the fact the water container is filled to the brim.

Hi nmorrisroe

There are two possible conditions that result in the error code you describe (steady red light)

(1) the coffee bean bin being empty, (or that sensor thinks that it's empty) and

(2) the water level sensor thinking there's not enough water in the reservoir. Either sensor may be damaged or is registering a false return due to some condition in the machine.

If there's absolutely nothing blocking/affecting the sensors, then there are three logical possibilities that occur to me.

1) Damaged sensor - shouldn't be an issue if you used an accepted descaling chemical and otherwise followed the manual.
2) Faulty sensor - is it still under-warranty?
3) Control panel is bad (warranty?).

If I can be of further assistance, let me know, and include as much detail as possible (you should be able to load digital pictures onto this space using the toolbar above).

If this solves the issue, please rate it accordingly.
