I just got a new compute with a Geforce 9800GX+ video card. I have it connected to a Panasonic Plasma TH-50PZ850U via DVI/HDMI. I can't seem to get the right video card settings. When the comp[uter boots up, the windows screen is black. What settings should I have on the video card?

Start the computer in safe made (tap the F8 key wile booting)

once in safe mode set video resolution to 1024*768 then restart computer.

Find the native resolution for the monitor (manual) and set the resolution to that or one less to be sure.

hope this helps

How do i install geforce 6200

Hello! You must first shutdown your computer. Open your cpu and connect the video card on the agp slot of the motherboard. Make sure it is properly seated. Return back the cover of the casing. Connect the vga cable of your monitor to the vga connector of the video card. turn on the computer. The operating system will automatic read the new found hardware. Now try to download the driver of the video card this will give the video card its properties to change its resolution sizes and graphics output. The download site can be found here, just enter the code you see from the image and click download.

Problems with 8400GS graphics card

First, you need to be sure you have installed the correct drivers for the card that corresponds to your OS.

Second, you need to go into the control panel (assuming you are running Windows of course) and tell the computer you now have a new graphics card installed and to use it instead of the default one detected when the OS was installed.

Reattach the monitor to the GeForce card and reboot. All should be OK.

Physically remove nvidia 8600gt video card from

The video card is in the AGP slot on the motherboard.
There will be a plastic clip at the back of the slot that needs to be pressed to release the back of the graphics card.
When you insert the new graphics card this clip should automatically lock in the new card.

Did you make sure you uninstalled the original 9600gt driver, other than that you could try safe mode with networking and download/install the driver.

I want better grafics

For better graphics, Please do one of the following.

1) If you have a very high RAM, You can share a part of it through bios for video processing. This will help you pitch your graphics a bit more.

2) If your system is having low ram, Upgrade your RAM to higher range.

3) If you want exceptional graphics, You will need to install a graphics card with high ram. NVIDIA and ATI Raedon sells few of the best graphics cards.
