I have a LG washing machine, model WM2277H. Ready to wash clothes, put the machine on but no water is entering the machine. water valve is open, cleaning the filter inside the hot and cold tubing to the back of the machine. machine spins for a few seconds, then stops. does it again and again until I get "IE" on the read out which, according to the manual, means no water getting in. what else can I check? thank you.

Kinked inlet hose. Screened hose washer in inlet hose plugged. Frozen water supply pipe(s). No power to washer inlet valve(s). Old inlet hoses with separated layers, blocking water flow under pressure.
Turn off valves, remove from machine end, put in bucket and turn on valves to make sure you have water up to machine. Now work back to find why you are not getting water into machine.

LG washer not filling with water

I take it you mean you cleaned out mesh inserts in the entry side of the hot and cold water valves?
Inside the valves are rubber diaphragms which when they age, perish......a bit like you and me!

Provided voltage is being applied to the valves you will hear them "Buzz" when the time is for water to enter the machine. If they buzz but do not allow water entry, they need to be replaced.

Clothes do not smell fresh and have a distinct smelly odor after washing. I think it may be the water filter or something to do with the water coming into the washing machine. Need help.

put your weasher on with white viniger on its own. also take your soap draw out and make sure that is free from powder as some times there is a back up of powder going in to the drum

What type of washer does the LG WM2277H take for the cold inlet hookup?

The water supply lines for the LG WM2277H are the same as almost all clothes washers sold in the US, which are standard garden hose threads, and use a standard garden hose washer.

Lg wm2277h has low water level

The water level is very low on front load machines. (Below the bottom of the door) While the washer is running, push and hold the "spin speed" and "soil level" buttons at the time. Display should be between 230 and 255.(normal) If you do this while the machine is filling, you will see the numbers change. This machine only uses about 12 gallons of water for an entire cycle, vs. about 45 for some top loading machines. THIS IS NORMAL ! The machine will adjust the amount of water based on the type and volume of clothes in your washer. On a large load, you will see wet clothes, but no water sloshing around. PS. Because the machine uses so little water, make sure you use only one tablespoon of HE detergent (and only one teaspoon of fabric softner if you use it). This is very important.
